1. Portfolio in scope

• Talent acquisition: Workday Recruiting, HiredScore, Paradox, and a workforce planning tool.
• Talent management: Workday Talent, HiredScore, and Peakon.
• People analytics: Snowflake, owned by a different Digital domain, requiring close cross-domain partnership.
2. Key responsibilities and expected outcomes
• Set product direction. Own and communicate the product vision, strategy, and multi-year roadmap for the People Success digital portfolio, maintaining clear product ownership, governance, lifecycle decisions, and alignment with Opella methodologies and architecture requirements.
• Prioritise for value and sustainability. Translate agreed business priorities and process needs into product outcomes, capabilities, and prioritised roadmaps. Assess demand against value, urgency, strategic fit, risk, dependencies, effort, and architectural alignment.
• Manage an integrated ecosystem. Maintain an end-to-end view of the application, data, and integration landscape. Coordinate dependencies across People Success products and other People & Culture or Digital domains, simplify duplication, and improve interoperability.
• Lead delivery from discovery to stable operations. Define scope, milestones, governance, workstreams, resources, dependencies, deliverables, acceptance criteria, and success measures. Lead or coordinate implementation, migration, integration, testing, go-live, stabilisation, knowledge transfer, service acceptance, and hypercare exit.
• Strengthen data and analytics foundations. Partner with Data teams to establish trusted data foundations, common definitions, prioritised KPIs, and sustainable delivery models. Reduce recurring reliance on unmanaged manual extracts by moving needs toward governed reports, interfaces, and data products.
• Design for adoption and continuous improvement. Monitor adoption, user feedback, incidents, recurring issues, usage, service performance, and vendor roadmaps to shape the improvement backlog and identify opportunities to improve employee experience, productivity, process quality, and insights.
• Provide clear governance and decision support. Clarify decision rights, ownership, and RACI or RASCI arrangements across business, Digital, Data, operations, and vendors. Maintain traceability of material product, architecture, and risk decisions, and prepare concise recommendations, status updates, escalations, and decision requests for governance forums.
• Embed privacy, security, controls, and responsible AI. Build privacy, security, access, auditability, and internal-control requirements into product design and delivery. Coordinate formal architecture, security, privacy, and responsible AI assessments where required, with defined purpose, data readiness, human oversight, testing, controls, and ongoing monitoring for AI-enabled capabilities.
• Protect operational resilience. Ensure integrations include monitoring, reconciliation, error handling, security, scheduling, and support requirements. Define target operating and support models and ensure compliance requirements are met before go-live and sustained in operations.
• Manage partners and commercial delivery. Manage vendor roadmaps, releases, service performance, technical dependencies, and improvement opportunities. Develop or review requests for proposal, statements of work, estimates, implementation plans, responsibilities, documentation, knowledge-transfer expectations, and commercial deliverables.
• Manage investment and business cases. Control the digital budget and business cases required for agreed priorities, while coordinating Procurement, Finance, Legal, Architecture, Security, and business stakeholders during sourcing and contracting.
3. Key stakeholder relationships
· People Success business owners and process leaders.
· People & Culture stakeholders and product or application owners across related domains.
· Data & AI, Architecture, Security, Privacy, operations, and internal-control teams.
· Procurement, Finance, and Legal stakeholders supporting sourcing and contracting.
· Platform vendors, implementation partners, and service providers.
· Steering and governance forums requiring clear recommendations, status, risks, and decisions.
4. Essential experience, skills, and capabilities
• Demonstrable experience owning or leading a digital product or portfolio strategy, roadmap, prioritisation, and lifecycle decisions in a complex enterprise environment.
• Ability to translate business processes and operational challenges into clear product outcomes, scalable capabilities, acceptance criteria, and measurable success indicators.
• Experience coordinating cross-functional delivery from discovery through implementation, testing, go-live, stabilization, and transition to support.
• Strong understanding of product governance, demand assessment, dependency management, risk and issue management, and executive decision support.
• Experience working across application, data, integration, security, privacy, access, auditability, and internal-control considerations.
• Ability to use adoption, usage, incidents, service performance, user feedback, and business outcomes to guide prioritization and continuous improvement.
• Experience managing vendors, statements of work, delivery plans, service performance, and commercial expectations.
• Ability to influence without direct authority, resolve competing priorities, and create alignment in a global matrix organization.
• Clear communication skills, including the ability to prepare concise, executive-ready recommendations, risk escalations, and decision materials.
• Commitment to sustainable, standard, user-centred solutions and the confidence to challenge unnecessary customization or incomplete delivery plans.
5. Preferred experience and capabilities
• Experience with digital HR products in learning and skills, talent acquisition, talent management, people analytics, or adjacent People & Culture domains.
• Exposure to one or more platforms in the current portfolio, including Workday, HiredScore, Paradox, Peakon, Snowflake, 365Learning, 360Talents, Coachello, or EdCast. Platform-specific experience is useful but not required across every product.
• Experience simplifying a multi-product landscape, improving interoperability, or moving recurring manual data needs toward governed reports, interfaces, or data products.
• Experience coordinating architecture, privacy, security, or responsible AI assessments for employee or applicant data and AI-enabled capabilities.
• Experience contributing to requests for proposal, sourcing, contracting, implementation estimates, or business cases.
We welcome applicants whose experience demonstrates the capabilities needed to create value through digital products, even if they have not worked with every platform listed.
