Apply Description Employment Type: Temporary, Full-Time W-2 Location: Remote – United States Schedule: Central Time business-hour availability required Anticipated Start: Late October / Early November 2026 PCG Consulting Group International is building a team of healthcare technology professionals to support a national healthcare advisory firm on a large statewide rural-health technology readiness initiative. The Digital Readiness Assessor – Healthcare Technology will work alongside a Senior Digital Readiness Assessor / Pod Lead to evaluate hospital technology environments, participate in structured stakeholder discovery sessions, organize and validate supporting evidence, assist with maturity evaluations, identify information gaps, and develop clear findings for hospital leadership. Successful candidates should possess strong general knowledge of hospital IT environments, along with deeper professional experience in at least one or two relevant technology areas. The ideal candidate combines healthcare IT knowledge with strong analytical skills, curiosity, attention to detail, professional communication, and the ability to distinguish verified evidence from assumptions or incomplete information. Key Responsibilities Review hospital background information, technology documentation, system information, available evidence, and known information gaps prior to assessment sessions. Participate in structured virtual discovery meetings with hospital executives and leaders across IT, clinical operations, finance, and related functions. Ask clear, targeted follow-up questions to clarify technology capabilities, processes, risks, dependencies, and information gaps. Accurately capture assessment information and supporting evidence. Organize evidence and document its source, relevance, completeness, and validation status. Support technology readiness assessments across areas including: Healthcare IT staffing and support Infrastructure, networking, and connectivity EHR and clinical/business systems Interoperability and data exchange Data and analytics Automation and artificial intelligence Telehealth Technology governance Project and change-management capacity High-level cybersecurity readiness Identify missing information, inconsistencies, unsupported conclusions, and areas requiring additional validation. Apply standardized maturity criteria and evaluation frameworks under the direction of the Pod Lead. Support the development of hospital findings, evidence summaries, recommendations, and follow-up requests. Translate technical information into clear operational implications for healthcare leaders. Participate in calibration, peer review, quality review, and factual revision activities. Incorporate feedback from Pod Leads and project quality reviewers. Manage multiple assignments and short deadlines in a fast-moving remote environment. Maintain accurate work products, evidence, project documentation, and status information within a shared cloud-based project environment. Requirements 5+ years of relevant professional experience in healthcare technology consulting, hospital IT, clinical systems, operational improvement, healthcare technology implementation, technology analysis, or a related field. Working knowledge across multiple areas of hospital technology and operations. Deeper professional experience in at least one or two healthcare technology areas, such as: EHR and clinical systems Interoperability and data exchange Infrastructure and networking Data and analytics Cybersecurity governance Telehealth Automation and artificial intelligence IT service management Healthcare technology implementation or project delivery Experience participating in stakeholder interviews, current-state reviews, technology assessments, implementations, discovery sessions, or other structured evaluation activities. Strong analytical, note-taking, evidence-organization, and business-writing skills. Ability to recognize missing, incomplete, conflicting, or unsupported information. Ability to distinguish confirmed facts and documented evidence from assumptions or inference. Ability to apply defined evaluation criteria and incorporate quality-review feedback. Ability to work effectively as part of a collaborative two-person assessment team. Ability to manage multiple concurrent assignments and meet short deadlines in a remote work environment. Bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of education and directly relevant professional experience. Ability to work regularly during Central Time business hours. Preferred Qualifications Experience working with rural hospitals, Critical Access Hospitals, community hospitals, or other resource-constrained healthcare provider organizations. Experience conducting or supporting technology readiness assessments, maturity assessments, current-state reviews, gap assessments, implementation reviews, or technology roadmaps. Experience supporting multi-hospital, multi-site, or large healthcare technology initiatives. Experience translating technical information and technology findings into clear operational implications for hospital or healthcare leadership. Experience with healthcare EHRs, interoperability, infrastructure, IT service management, cybersecurity governance, data and analytics, telehealth, automation/AI, or healthcare technology project delivery.
