Job Description

Our growing team is seeking Direct Sales Representatives located across the Southwestern U.S., including Alabama, Louisiana, Mississippi and Texas.
While this is a home-based role, travel is required.

As a Direct Sales Payment Consultant within the Merchant Payment Services (MPS) division, you will serve as a highly motivated outside sales professional responsible for acquiring new merchant clients, developing strategic relationships, and growing market share within your assigned territory.
This is a true hunter role, requiring an individual who thrives on creating opportunities, prospecting for new business, and building a pipeline through persistent business development efforts.

The Direct Sales Payment Consultant will approach the territory like an entrepreneur—building a business, creating a personal market presence, and taking ownership of results. The role offers the freedom to pursue opportunities across retail, restaurant, healthcare, and service-based businesses, develop trusted relationships with local owners and decision-makers, and generate momentum through cold calling, networking, community involvement, referrals, strategic partnerships, and direct in-market engagement. While the majority of the pipeline will be self-sourced, consultants are supported by the strength, credibility, and resources of U.S. Bank, creating additional opportunities to identify needs, introduce broader solutions, and win business.

The ideal candidate combines a hunter's mindset with a consultant's approach, pairing a relentless pursuit of new business with the ability to understand customer needs and deliver tailored payment solutions that help clients grow.

Why Join Merchant Payment Services?

We are making significant investments in the growth of our Direct Sales organization and expanding our presence across the Southern U.S. What differentiates us is the ability to combine an entrepreneurial outside-sales opportunity with the reach and resources of a leading financial institution. As a wholly owned subsidiary of U.S. Bank, Merchant Payment Services can leverage the bank’s broad product portfolio, distribution channels, and financial expertise to help consultants open doors and deliver more complete solutions. You will have the opportunity to build your own book of business while using the power of the bank to create conversations, uncover needs, and accelerate growth.

You'll Have the Opportunity To:

· Build and grow your own book of business through strategic prospecting and business development.

· Sell a comprehensive suite of payment and business solutions that help merchants improve efficiency, optimize cash flow, and enhance the customer experience.

· Develop strong relationships with business owners and decision-makers throughout your territory.

· Join a growing sales organization with opportunities for advancement and professional development.

· Earn competitive performance-based compensation tied directly to your success and business growth.
