StoneRidge Insurance Brokers is looking for a Director, BC Commercial Lines (Director, BC CL) to lead and grow our commercial insurance team in British Columbia. You’ll work closely with senior leadership to develop our commercial producers and servicers, grow our commercial book, strengthen relationships with insurer partners, and build our BC brand. Through hands-on coaching, you’ll help the team deliver sound advice and build lasting relationships with our commercial clients.

Position: Director, BC Commercial Lines

Job Type: Hybrid, Full Time, Permanent

Work Location: British Columbia, Canada

Pay: Starting from $110,000 annually + bonus

What You Will Do:

• Collaborate with senior leadership on growth, retention, and profitability targets.

• Develop and implement annual sales plans to achieve and exceed revenue targets in the commercial insurance department.

• Identify new business opportunities, plan for key renewals, and address accounts at risk of leaving.

• Recruit, train, and develop a high-performing sales team focused on commercial insurance products.

• Build relationships with insurer partners to expand placement options, stay current on underwriting appetite, and resolve challenging files.
• Monitor service standards, turnaround times, and workloads to improve how the team serves clients.

What You Bring:

• BC Level 3 General Insurance Agent license in good standing is required.
• Strong technical knowledge of commercial property and casualty insurance, with experience placing complex risks and advising brokers on coverage and renewal strategy.
• Established relationships with insurers and a working knowledge of the BC commercial insurance market.
• A track record of growing a commercial book, retaining clients, and using financial and service results to guide business decisions.
• Exceptional interpersonal skills with experience developing a large network of business, industry, and government relationships.
• Experience coaching brokers, managing performance, and helping teams adopt new processes while maintaining client service.
• CAIB, CIP, or comparable insurance designation is an asset.
