Director, Communications & Corporate Marketing | AccessHope
At AccessHope, we’re Fighting cancer with everything we know™ by putting the ever-growing body of cancer knowledge to work for the greater good. Through a revolutionary employer health benefit offering, we remotely connect employees with cancer support services from National Cancer Institute (NCI)–Designated Comprehensive Cancer Centers. Instead of requiring those who have been diagnosed with cancer to come to the centers for renowned cancer expertise, AccessHope brings their support to the patient and their local oncologist—wherever they’re located—to improve care, outcomes, and value.
Hopeful for those we support, rebellious in our approach, and collaborative by breaking down barriers, AccessHope is seeking a Director, Communications & Corporate Marketing to help us uniquely deploy the latest cancer knowledge to the places it’s needed most. As an ideal candidate, you’ll own AccessHope’s voice in the market. You will lead thought leadership and content that builds reach, awareness, and mindshare with health plans, employers, channel partners, oncologists, and members. You will also lead corporate communications, direct our brand, website, and social presence, and run co-marketing with our foundational partners, the NCI-designated comprehensive cancer centers. You will work through a network of agencies and contractors, keep our communications and marketing projects organized and on schedule, and partner closely with Product Marketing, Sales, and Demand Generation.
Key responsibilities
- Lead thought leadership and content: Own our point of view on cancer care access, navigation, and the employer and health plan landscape. Produce articles, white papers, case studies, bylines, and speaking opportunities tailored to each core audience, and work with executives and clinical experts to bring their expertise to market.
- Lead corporate communications: Manage company announcements, media relations, and reputation, partnering with our PR firm. Advise leadership on communications, including sensitive moments.
- Run co-marketing with our Clinical Partners: Build and deliver joint marketing plans with each partner and their marketing teams, such as speaking engagements, podcast and webinar appearances, op-eds, shared social content, and newsletter features. Measure impact through reach, engagement, and audience feedback.
- Steward our brand and digital presence: Lead our brand rollout and standards, and oversee our website and social media strategy.
- Manage agencies and contractors: Set priorities, give clear direction, and keep work on time, on budget, and high quality.
- Leadership: Manage, mentor, and assist with marketing team growth.
- Lead project management: Run the planning and delivery of communications and marketing work across brand, website, PR, content, and partner programs. Maintain the editorial calendar and project timelines, set clear owners and deadlines, manage dependencies across teams, and track and report on status so leadership always knows what is in flight.
- Keep our voice unified: Align corporate messaging with product marketing and sales enablement so the market hears one consistent story.
