As Director, Consumer Architecture, you'll lead the architecture for Skrill, NETELLER, paysafecard, and the platforms serving 10 million customers, while building and inspiring a talented architecture team. You'll translate complex technology decisions into meaningful customer and business outcomes and help create the scalable, resilient platforms that power Paysafe's future.

How we work:
We follow a hybrid working model, spending an average of three days per week at our office location. The office is located in Gresham Street next to St Paul’s cathedral with easy access and transport links via St Paul’s, Bank, Cannon Street, City Thameslink, Liverpool Street, Farringdon, Mansion House.

What you will own:
  • Set the architectural vision and technology direction across Paysafe's Consumer portfolio.
  • Lead, mentor, and champion a team of architects, fostering a culture of technical excellence, collaboration, and accountability.
  • Partner with Product and Engineering leaders to turn business priorities into practical technology strategies.
  • Influence key technology investments, roadmaps, and architectural decisions across multiple products.
  • Drive platform modernization, balancing innovation, speed of delivery, scalability, and resilience.
  • Review complex designs and providetechnical guidance on high-impact initiatives and challenges.
  • Foster collaboration across Product, Engineering, Data, Risk, and Compliance teams to deliver seamless customer experiences.
  • Keep a close eye on emerging technologies and industry trends, ensuring our architecture evolves with the needs of the business and our customers.

Experience and expertise:
  • Significant experience leading architecture, engineering, or technology teams in fintech, payments, digital platforms, or similarly complex environments.
  • A proven people leader with a passion for coaching, developing talent, and building inclusive, high-performing teams.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills, with the ability to build trust and influence decisions across technical and non-technical audiences.
  • The ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear business outcomes and make thoughtful decisions that balance customer needs, risk, scalability, and commercial value.
  • Experience defining technology strategy and architecture across multiple products, platforms, or business domains.
  • Deep understanding of distributed systems, cloud-native architectures, APIs, and event-driven design.
  • Strong technical credibility, with the ability to review code, challenge designs, and guide engineering teams without being hands-on day-to-day.
  • Experience delivering large-scale modernization, transformation, or platform evolution initiatives.
