Alight's Corporate Strategy & Development team is seeking a Director, Corporate Strategy, for a highly visible and impactful role. Our team works vigorously to shape and define company direction, growth priorities, and value creation opportunities. We assist the Executive Leadership Team, and Business Unit leaders with enterprise strategy, solution and segment strategy, portfolio management, and strategic business initiatives including M&A.
As part of the high-impact Strategy & Corporate Development team, you will serve as a trusted advisor to executive leadership and lead complex strategic initiatives that influence Alight's long-term direction. This is a highly analytical, individual contributor role with significant ownership and visibility across senior leadership. You will work directly with the Vice President of Corporate Strategy and alongside other senior strategy leaders to solve Alight's most important strategic challenges and support decision-making at the Executive Leadership Team and Board of Directors level.
You will work across the organization to identify customer, competitive, industry, and macroeconomic trends impacting the business and translate those insights into actionable recommendations. In this role, you will independently structure and lead strategic workstreams, develop fact-based analyses, build business cases, evaluate investment opportunities, and present recommendations to executive leadership and the Board.
You will partner with commercial, product, and solution leaders to evaluate growth opportunities, shape solution and segment strategies, assess portfolio priorities, support strategic transactions, and drive enterprise value creation. This role offers broad exposure across Alight's businesses while providing the opportunity to influence some of the company's most important strategic and investment decisions.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and communicate both near-term and long-term corporate growth strategies, including recommendations regarding market opportunities, competitive positioning, and enterprise priorities
Partner with the Executive Leadership Team to identify, prioritize, and evaluate strategic initiatives aligned with Alight's long-term growth objectives
Lead enterprise-wide strategic assessments and deliver fact-based recommendations on growth, profitability, portfolio optimization, and value creation opportunities
Partner with business, product, and segment leaders to develop solution and segment strategies, including market prioritization, customer segmentation, competitive differentiation, and investment recommendations
Assess business portfolio performance and identify opportunities to optimize investment priorities
Drive development of Board of Directors and Executive Leadership Team materials, delivering data-driven insights and strategic recommendations on key business issues
Conduct primary and secondary research on markets, competitors, customers, and industry trends to provide actionable strategic insights
Develop rigorous, fact-based quantitative analyses and sophisticated financial models to evaluate strategic opportunities, business performance, acquisitions, partnerships, and investment decisions
Support M&A, partnerships, and investment activities through strategic assessments, commercial diligence, market analysis, valuation support, and synergy evaluation
Drive strategic initiatives from ideation through execution, helping ensure alignment against enterprise priorities and value creation objectives
Preferred Qualifications
10+ years of professional experience, including 3+ years at a top-tier strategy consulting firm
Prior experience in investment banking, corporate finance, transaction advisory, valuation, corporate development, or a related financial discipline preferred
Demonstrated experience leading complex strategic analyses and influencing executive decision-making
Experience developing and evaluating corporate, solution, and segment-level growth strategies, including market assessment, competitive positioning, customer segmentation, and investment prioritization
Strategic, financial, and analytical capabilities, including financial modeling, business case development, valuation, market analysis, and investment evaluation
Experience supporting M&A transactions, strategic partnerships, or capital allocation decisions
Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to communicate complex concepts clearly and concisely to senior executives
Proven leadership, stakeholder management, and project management skills
Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Engineering, or a related field; MBA preferred

Salary Pay Range
Minimum :
170,000.00 USDMaximum :
