Pay Grade/Pay Range: Minimum: $69,200 - Midpoint: $89,900 (Salaried E11)
Department/Organization: 209318 - Academic Innovation Programs
Normal Work Schedule: Monday - Friday 8:00am to 5:00pm; some nights as needed.

Job Summary: The Director of Crimson Compass provides strategic and operational leadership for the Crimson Compass program and its expanding portfolio of academic programs and initiatives. Leads the development, implementation, and continuous improvements of the program. Develops and maintains strategic partnerships with University units, K-12 schools and school systems, community colleges, and other external organizations.
Additional Department Summary: Establishes program vision and priorities. Oversees personnel, budgets, and resources; and ensuring programs align with University priorities and academic standards. Leads assessment and long-range planning, identifies opportunities for external funding and program expansion, and develops sustainable strategies and infrastructure to support the continued growth and impact of Crimson Compass.
Required Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor's degree and six (6) years of K-12, higher education, or continuing education experience; OR master's degree and four (4) years of K-12, higher education, or continuing education experience.
Additional Required Department Minimum Qualifications: Must have valid U.S. driver's license. Must be at least 19 years of age at time of hire and have an acceptable Motor Vehicle Report that is in compliance with University policies. Applicants under the age of 21 will have some driving restrictions.
Skills and Knowledge: Strong knowledge of strategic planning, program development, and organizational growth within higher education and K-12 environments. Demonstrated effective leadership, personnel and budget management. Strong communication, analytical, and decision-making abilities, with the ability to use data to assess program effectiveness, manage multiple priorities, and develop sustainable strategies that support continued program growth.
Preferred Qualifications: Master’s degree in education, higher education administration, educational leadership, business administration, or a related field. Five (5) years of progressively responsible experience in program leadership, administration, or educational program development. Experience supervising professional staff and managing budgets. Experience developing strategic partnerships across higher education, K-12 education, state agencies, or other external organizations. Experience with program growth, assessment, strategic planning, grant development, or externally funded initiatives.
