Job Title: Director, eCommerce Solutions & Creative
A little bit about our team:
Homemade / WMX is Warner Music Group’s merchandise and e-commerce services division, focused on helping artists connect with fans through merchandise, physical music, touring, vip ticketing, retail, licensing and direct-to-consumer experiences. We work at the intersection of creativity and commerce, partnering with artists, managers, and label teams to build thoughtful, high-quality products and experiences that fans care about, and marketing them to drive revenue and add value to our clients business. From artist stores and limited-edition vinyl to tour merchandise and global retail programs, we treat merch and physical products as meaningful extensions of an artist’s creative vision. Homemade / WMX combines the global scale of Warner Music Group with an entrepreneurial, hands-on approach. We value collaboration, ownership, and curiosity, and we’re building a forward-thinking team that’s excited to evolve how artists reach and engage their audiences.
Your role:
As Director of eCommerce Solutions & Creative, you will lead the bridge between pragmatic e-commerce problem-solving, UX design, and front-end development across our digital storefronts. Reporting directly to the VP of eCommerce Solutions & Deployment, you will be responsible for pioneering superior user experiences and innovating process systems that make our e-commerce engine operate efficiently at scale. This role requires a hands-on, solution-oriented leader who can manage front-end engineering, collaborate with Central Tech on platform architecture, and interface directly with artists, management teams, and label partners to translate creative visions into high-converting web stores. This role also requires a creative eye and vision to ensure our stores feature best-in-class presentation, product images and user experience.
Here you’ll get to:
- Pioneer better UX/UI design standards across all digital platforms, creating innovative, high-converting storefront templates and custom digital experiences.
- Lead and manage direct reports, including front-end developers, guiding technical execution, code quality, and front-end site builds.
- Innovate and implement new process systems that streamline store setups, creative workflows, and digital deployments across multi-store environments.
- Partner with Central Tech to translate complex site designs and creative concepts into scalable, functional e-commerce solutions, while ensuring internal systems communicate functionally and efficiently.
- Interface directly with high-profile artists, artist management, and label partners to present site creative concepts, align on design execution, and roll out new e-commerce tools.
- Work cross-functionally across Creative, Tech, E-Commerce Deployment, and E-Commerce Operations teams to ensure front-end designs align seamlessly with backend fulfillment and operational capabilities.
- Identify operational and design friction across existing web stores and architect pragmatic solutions to improve site efficiency and fan engagement.
- Champion A/B testing and front-end UX experiments to drive conversion rate optimization across high-visibility artist stores and megastores.
About you:
- You have a strong track record of finding pragmatic solutions to complex e-commerce challenges while improving digital operational efficiency.
- You have experience managing or leading technical talent, specifically front-end developers, to execute clean, performant web designs.
- You are skilled at cross-functional leadership, acting as a translator and facilitator between creative teams, engineering groups, and operations teams.
- You have hands-on experience interfacing directly with client-facing stakeholders, such as artists, managers, or external partners, to guide design and roll out new digital tools.
- You are passionate about pioneering innovative UX/UI design systems that balance aesthetic vision with commercial conversion goals.
- You enjoy solving front-end workflow bottlenecks by establishing clear processes, reusable design systems, and efficient deployment standards.
We’d love it if you also had:
- 5+ years of experience leading e-commerce UX design, front-end solution design, or digital store creative initiatives.
- Deep hands-on familiarity with e-commerce platforms (e.g., Shopify Plus, custom headless frameworks, HTML/CSS/Liquid/JavaScript principles).
- Experience working within music, entertainment, fashion, or creative agency environments managing artist or brand web properties.
- Experience operating within matrixed corporate structures while balancing tight campaign timelines and high-volume product drops.
