We are seeking a technically fluent, strategic leader to own the end-to-end development of our enterprise first-party data lake. This asset will power executive dashboards, operational reporting, and AI-driven customer intelligence developed by our internal Applied Code Lab. Data-driven decision-making requires clean, governed data from a single source of truth. This role does not write production code 40 hours per week, but you must have the hands-on background to roll up your sleeves and get into the weeds when needed. You will validate complex SQL, debug failing pipelines, perform deep-dive code reviews, and unblock technical bottlenecks that would stall a non-technical manager.  You will bridge the gap between our external, executive Advisory Board (a group of senior IT Architects and experts), our external contractor development team, and our internal business stakeholders. This role is built for a leader who refuses to lose their technical edge while stepping into a strategic commercial seat, identifying technology solutions that support the business needs. Lead the design, implementation, and ongoing evolution of a centralized data lake integrating CRM, marketing automation, web, event, financial, and operational data sources. Establish and oversee enterprise master data management, identity resolution, and system-of-record standards, ensuring consistent and reliable data across all platforms. Lead CRM transformation initiatives, including migration from Salesforce and HubSpot to future-state CRM solutions, ensuring successful data migration, integration, and user adoption. Design and implement AI-enabled workflows for data cleansing, validation, transformation, migration, monitoring, and business process automation while establishing AI governance, security, and auditability standards. Develop and maintain enterprise data governance frameworks, including data quality controls, data definitions, metadata management, privacy compliance, and stewardship practices. Establish automated reconciliation, validation, testing, and monitoring processes to ensure data accuracy, integrity, and consistency across CRM, marketing, web, and reporting systems. Serve as the senior technical authority for data architecture and engineering, providing oversight of data models, integrations, SQL development, performance optimization, and deployment standards. Manage external development partners, consultants, and contractors using Agile delivery methodologies, ensuring adherence to project requirements, documentation standards, testing protocols, and knowledge transfer expectations. Partner with executive leadership, business stakeholders, and advisory board members to align technology initiatives with organizational goals and measurable business outcomes. Drive organization-wide adoption of analytics, reporting, and AI capabilities through stakeholder engagement, change management, training, and data literacy initiatives. Define and maintain security, disaster recovery, and business continuity practices for enterprise data and analytics platforms. Support the development and operationalization of advanced analytics, predictive modeling, lead scoring, and AI-driven insights that improve decision-making and organizational performance. Present project progress, technical strategy, risks, adoption of metrics, and business impact to executive leadership and cross-functional stakeholders. Requirements, Work Experience and Education Bachelor's degree in Information Systems , Computer Science, Data Analytics, Engineering, Business Analytics, or a related field; Master's degree preferred. 7+ years of experience in data architecture, engineering, analytics, CRM systems, or data platform management. Experience leading enterprise data transformation, migration, or modernization initiatives. Strong expertise in SQL, data modeling, ETL/ELT processes, and modern data platforms. Experience with Salesforce, HubSpot, CRM integrations, and data migration projects. Knowledge of data governance, master data management, privacy regulations, and data quality frameworks. Experience managing technical vendors, consultants, or external development teams. Strong communication skills and ability to translate complex technical concepts for business stakeholders. Experience managing teams and working cross-functionally. Professional proficiency in written and spoken English, at CEFR B2 or higher, including the ability to present complex analysis clearly to senior leaders Legal authorization to work in Mexico and residence in the Mexico City metropolitan area. Preferred qualifications include: Experience with dbt , cloud data platforms, and modern analytics ecosystems. Experience implementing AI, machine learning, agentic AI, or intelligent automation solutions. Familiarity with GDPR, CPRA, and enterprise data governance best practices. Experience supporting executive reporting, organizational change management, and user adoption initiatives. Experience building or scaling enterprise data lakes, data warehouses, or customer data platforms. Experience overseeing CRM modernization or large-scale data migration projects.
