Job Description:

The Director, Financial Planning & Analysis reports to the Vice President of Finance and is a key member of the Finance leadership team, with significant exposure to senior executives across MasterBrand.

This role leads companywide financial planning, forecasting, consolidation, reporting, and performance analysis. The Director partners closely with leaders across Finance, Commercial, Operations, and other functions to provide actionable financial insights, identify risks and opportunities, and support business decisions.

The position also plays a key leadership role in long range strategic planning, annual budgeting, quarterly forecasting, executive and Board reporting, and financial modeling. Success in this role requires strong financial expertise, the ability to influence across functions, and the ability to translate complex financial information into clear business insights.

Responsibilities

• Lead companywide financial planning, forecasting, consolidation, and management reporting processes.
• Analyze financial results and identify key performance drivers, trends, risks, and opportunities.
• Lead the development of financial projections and modeling that connect historical performance with future business expectations.
• Oversee the annual budgeting and long range strategic planning processes, partnering with finance and business leaders across the organization.
• Develop and monitor key financial and operational performance metrics and provide insights that support business decisions.
• Lead analysis of channel, brand, customer, and overall business profitability and identify opportunities to improve performance.
• Oversee financial reporting and materials prepared for executive leadership, the Board of Directors, and other key stakeholders.
• Partner with business and functional leaders to develop budgets, monitor performance, manage spending, and support strategic priorities.
• Provide strategic leadership for financial planning and reporting systems, partnering with technology teams to enhance forecasting, modeling, and reporting capabilities.
• Lead, develop, and mentor a high performing FP&A team while building strong partnerships across the organization.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field required.
• MBA, master’s degree in Accounting, CPA, Chartered Accountant, or similar advanced qualification preferred.
• 10+ years of progressive experience in Finance, Accounting, or FP&A, including leadership experience.
• Experience within a complex, multi location manufacturing environment strongly preferred.
• Strong knowledge of financial planning, forecasting, financial reporting, cost accounting, and GAAP or IFRS.
• Experience working within a multi division organization; public company experience is preferred.
• Demonstrated ability to influence and lead across functions, including in situations without direct reporting authority.
• Strong analytical, business acumen, communication, and executive presentation skills.
• Ability to translate complex financial information into clear insights and recommendations.
• Ability to travel as business needs require.
