POSITION SUMMARY This role supports Entrepreneurs’ Organization. Employment may be through a local employing entity or employer-of-record partner, depending on the hiring location. In partnership with volunteer leaders, cross-functional stakeholders, subject matter experts and the Leadership Portfolio, the Director, Leadership & Training leads the department-directed strategy, planning, design, implementation, and continuous improvement of EO’s leadership development framework in two key areas: leadership content development and leadership content delivery & training. This staff leader works in partnership across the organization to engage with stakeholders for evolving needs, formalize the leadership pathways and corresponding architecture, continuous development and delivery of content and training at all levels of the organization. The role ensures that member leaders at every level are resourced with leadership and learning materials and opportunities needed to learn, grow, and serve EO responsibly. It seeks to unify leadership development and training opportunities across the organization, some with direct responsibility for curation, delivery, and evaluation, and others indirectly so. Under the guidance of department leaders and the Leadership Portfolio, the Director oversees curriculum, learning delivery, and evaluation, using data and feedback to guide decisions and improve impact. This role models EO values and advances a collaborative, member-centered approach to leadership development. The Director owns the curriculum and delivery strategy for leadership content, training of chapter officers, regional and global leaders, and the overall training lifecycle, leveraging curriculum design and adult learning principles . The role is accountable for shaping high-impact content, aligning cross-functional stakeholders, and stewarding operational processes that enable program success. In addition to program strategy and content leadership, the Director is responsible for leading a team and guiding day-to-day operations, role clarity, and team-wide collaboration across design, delivery, and implementation. The role also defines how technology and systems can support strategic planning and program scalability by identifying tools that enhance both experience and effectiveness. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Leadership Development Framework Design and Management: Lead the incremental strategy and evolution of leadership content , ensuring the materials and training are in alignment with department direction and effectively support the organization and leaders at all levels . Lead the implementation and continuous improvement of EO’s leadership development framework to improve the readiness of member leaders across chapter officer roles and the Path of Leadership and broader journeys. Develop and manage framework components, priorities, and standards that increase consistency across leadership experiences and support effective transitions into and through member leader roles. Assess leadership development needs across member leader roles and translate those needs into scalable learning solutions, tools, and experiences that strengthen adoption, participation, and leadership effectiveness. Establish success measures, evaluation processes, and feedback loops to assess the effectiveness of the framework, generate insight for decision-making, and guide continuous improvement. Provide stakeholders with regular recommendations and strategic insight to improve alignment, effectiveness, and the long-term evolution of leadership development practices. Support resource planning and stewardship for leadership development initiatives, including budget management and resource planning Leadership Content , Delivery, and Evaluation Collaborate with volunteer member leaders in the Leadership Development and Training Portfolio and other key stakeholders to align leadership development priorities, guide implementation, and ensure the framework remains responsive to organizational and member needs. Oversee the design, curation, governance, and continuous improvement of virtual and in-person leadership development curricula for global, regional, and chapter leaders, as well as broader EO membership audiences, to maintain quality standards and increase consistency across learning experiences. Partner with organizational stakeholders and subject matter experts to develop practical, relevant, and high-quality learning experiences for adult learners across geographies and cultures that improve readiness, support leadership transitions, and strengthen adoption. Serve as primary point of contact for organizational projects. Lead cross-functional implementation of leadership development initiatives by coordinating timelines, roles, communications, and deliverables to support effective execution across teams and regions. Manage external vendors, facilitators, and subject matter contributors as needed to support high-quality design and delivery aligned with EO standards and organizational priorities. Oversee the LMS and related digital learning ecosystem to support effective delivery, learner engagement, participation tracking, certification, and sustainable knowledge management. Conduct regular reviews of leadership content, learning experiences, and participation data to ensure continued relevance, quality, and effectiveness and to inform future decisions and improvements. QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS, AND KNOWLEDGE REQUIRED Required Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in education, organizational development, leadership, human resources, business, or a related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience. 7+ years of experience in leadership development, learning, instructional design, organizational development, or a related field, including experience designing and implementing scalable learning programs. Demonstrated experience leading cross-functional initiatives and partnering with diverse stakeholders to deliver strategic learning solutions. Experience developing curriculum and learning experiences for adult audiences across multiple modalities, including virtual and in-person formats. Experience using learning technologies, including LMS platforms, to deliver, manage, and evaluate learning programs. Experience working in international, multicultural, and matrixed environments. Willing to travel , including internationally; duties of this position require travel approximately 1 5 % of the time. Ability to work flexible hours to meet the needs of a global constituency Knowledge and Technical Expertise Strong knowledge of adult learning principles, instructional design, facilitation practices, and evaluation methods. Familiarity in building and evaluating virtual courses in various platforms Experience with measurement, data analysis, and continuous improvement approaches for leadership development programs. Strong project and framework management skills, with the ability to manage multiple initiatives simultaneously. Ability to develop systems and processes that support scale, consistency, and knowledge management. Leadership and Interpersonal Skills Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills. Strong stakeholder management and collaboration skills, including the ability to influence without direct authority. Strategic thinker with strong judgment, adaptability, and execution discipline. High degree of cultural agility and ability to work effectively across regions, time zones, and backgrounds. Strong alignment with EO’s values and member-centric approach. Preferred Qualifications Experience in a membership, association, nonprofit, or volunteer-led organization. Experience designing leadership development for volunteers, boards, chapter leaders, or member leaders. Certification or advanced training in learning design, coaching, facilitation, or organizational development. Fluency in a second language.
