Show job description

Greenlight Rent, formerly Rhino + Jetty, is making housing more affordable and accessible for millions of renters each year. We're the market-leading rental housing platform building simpler, more accessible ways for people to move into homes — and for property managers to lease with confidence.

Our technology removes friction from the move-in process, lowers upfront costs for renters, and helps property managers make faster, more accurate decisions. We support a network of 3 million rental units nationwide and work with 47 of the NMHC Top 100 property owners, including Greystar, Brookfield, Asset Living, UDR, and more.

We pioneered security deposit insurance and continue to push the industry forward with a growing suite of products — from deposit management to lease guarantees and loss-of-employment protection. We're growing quickly, tackling real problems at scale, and building technology that's changing how renting works.

The Role

Own and evolve the Greenlight Rent brand across every channel. You'll build clear, credible materials for partners, their leasing teams, and renters while supporting revenue through sales enablement, partner marketing, and pipeline-generating campaigns.

This is a hands-on role with significant ownership and room to shape how marketing operates at Greenlight Rent. One of your first major projects will be leading the marketing website revamp, from content strategy and structure through launch.

What You'll Own

  • Brand ownership — voice, visual identity, and consistency across every channel partners and renters touch
  • Marketing site — own it end to end: content, structure, and a full revamp as one of the first projects in the role
  • Brand and launch communications — announcements, email campaigns, LinkedIn, launch collateral
  • Partner marketing — product overviews, FAQs, training materials, help-center content, rollout comms
  • Product messaging — translate Greenlight Deposit, Greenlight Guarantee, and future products into audience-specific value props
  • Sales enablement — modular decks, one-pagers, case-study materials, partner-specific presentations
  • Lifecycle comms — segmented messaging across partner types, portal users, policyholders, renters; coordinate with ops/CX on readiness and inbound response
  • Content operations — copy quality, editorial calendar, legal/compliance approvals, asset production with designers
  • Events and field marketing — conferences and partner moments: positioning, collateral, follow-up
  • Measurement — reporting on email performance, engagement, asset usage, marketing's contribution to pipeline

First 90 Days

  • Core narrative, product messaging, and audience segmentation documented and in consistent use
  • Marketing site revamp scoped, with a build plan and timeline
  • Partner and renter-facing materials complete, accurate, self-serve
  • Post-launch comms cadence running across email, web, portal, help center, sales, CX, events
  • Revenue has a usable, modular marketing toolkit

Background

  • 7+ years in B2B marketing, communications, product marketing, or brand
  • Hands-on experience owning a company website — content strategy, information architecture, working directly with design/dev to ship a rebuild, not just briefing an agency
  • Real estate, proptech, multifamily, or adjacent fintech/insurance experience
  • Exceptional writer/editor — can turn complex product and policy detail into simple, credible copy
  • Comfortable building in a small, fast-moving team with no existing marketing infrastructure
  • Experience partnering closely with sales, partnerships, product, legal/compliance, CX
  • Strong judgment on regulated or reputationally sensitive communications

Who Thrives Here

This is a builder role — high ownership, fast iteration, equal comfort with strategy and execution. Owns the brand outright, not just supports it. Balances a sales-forward narrative with careful coordination across legal, compliance, CX, and product. Fills the gap left by no dedicated marketing team, and makes marketing a durable counterpart to sales and product.

This Probably Isn't the Right Fit If...

  • You need an existing marketing team or established playbook to be effective
  • You haven't worked in regulated or compliance-sensitive comms before
  • You want to specialize in one channel rather than own brand + comms + enablement end to end
