About the Role:
We’re looking for a Director of Medical Insights & Analytics on the Medical Excellence team to help us expand what’s possible for patients with serious diseases. You’ll combine Medical Affairs and data analytic expertise to build analytic capabilities to support data driven decision making in Medical Affairs. This role will collaborate with Medical Affairs stakeholders (Medical Strategy, Field Medical, Medical Excellence, HEOR, Medical Information) along with IT to define key analytical needs to inform strategy and track progress. This role will be a key member of Medical Strategy Teams understanding core questions, delivering analyses, and supporting informed decision making. The Director of Medical Insights & Analytics will develop analytic capabilities to track Global Medical Affairs activity, metrics, and impact and enable course correction.What You'll Do:
In this role, you’ll have the opportunity to create the strategic vision and objectives for Medical Affairs analytic models in close collaboration with Medical Affairs stakeholders. You’ll also:
- Be responsible for compliant and appropriate data use and governance.
- Analyze insights from across Medical Affairs sources identifying trends and sentiment. Report findings including recommendations for actionable insights to cross-functional teams to drive strategy.
- Enable Medical Affairs Teams with data, tools, and models to inform prioritization of activity and planning (i.e. channel engagement, ME identification and segmentation, etc ) Drive ad-hoc analyses to support Medical Affairs strategic understanding to enable launch preparation and success.
- Track and report medical affairs metrics and impact vs targets. Define innovative impact use cases. Identify when course correction is needed based on progress.
- Collaborate across Medical Affairs functions to understand and build analytic capabilities to meet business needs. Collaborate with Commercial Effectiveness to identify and build compliant data synergies. Collaborate with IT on infrastructure, tools, models, and capabilities.
- Work closely with IT to translate business requirements into clear, concise user stories anddevelop real-time, automated dashboards integrating multiple data sources for impact assessment.
- Provide support across all pillars including early pre-launch and identify synergies across brand teams.
- Develop expertise in relevant therapeutic areas including Insmed and competitor products to ensure accurate data interpretation.
Who You Are:
You have a Doctorate along with 5 years of data and analytics experience
OR
You have a Master’s along with 8 years of data and analytics experience
OR
You have a Bachelor’s along with 12 years of data and analytics experience
You are or you also have:
- 7+ years of experience in analytics within the biopharmaceutical industry
- Experience with Smartsheets and Qlik as well as data tools, such as SQL, Python, Excel and programming skills with SQL
- Ability to understand different data sets to utilize in building models to support business questions
- Ability to translate business needs into solutions and lead complex projects with a pragmatic approach
- Forward looking with continuous process improvement mentality
- Strong strategic thinking with ability to connect multiple components
- Ability to influence decision making and a track record of effectively driving change
- Must have excellent communication skills (verbal and written) and project management skills
Nice to have (but not required):
- Prior Medical Affairs experience
- Rare disease / respiratory experience
- Product launch experience
Where You’ll Work
This is a fully remote role. It can be performed effectively from anywhere while staying connected to your Insmed team and community. Occasional travel for team meetings or events will be expected.

This role requires occasional domestic & international travel (approximately 5%)
Pay Range:
$185,000.00-252,500.00 AnnualLife at Insmed
