Neurotech’s first commercial product, ENCELTO TM (revakinagene taroretcel-lwey), is approved in the United States for the treatment of adults with idiopathic Macular Telangiectasia Type 2 (MacTel). Encapsulated cell-based gene therapy is designed to provide long-term, sustained delivery of therapeutic proteins for the treatment of chronic eye diseases. The Director of Access Marketing and Operations will be responsible for the execution of access marketing initiatives supporting ENCELTO™. Reporting to the Senior Director of Access Strategy and Operations, this role develops and delivers customer-focused materials, reimbursement resources, and access communications that support sites of care, healthcare providers, and other stakeholders across the patient access journey. The Director serves as a key partner in translating access strategies into effective marketing execution that facilitates therapy access, reimbursement success, and stakeholder engagement. In addition, the Director supports the Senior Director, Access Strategy & Operations in driving market access operational excellence by coordinating cross-functional market access initiatives, optimizing access-related processes, managing key operational deliverables, and driving execution across customer-facing access programs. This position is remote, with travel to the Needham office quarterly and in support of commercial team meetings as needed. Responsibilities Access Marketing Execution Execute access marketing initiatives supporting ENCELTO™ in alignment with strategic direction established by the Senior Director of Access Strategy and Operations and other Market Access leaders. Translate access and reimbursement strategies into customer-facing marketing resources, educational materials, and engagement tactics. Lead implementation of access marketing plans designed to support efficient patient access, reimbursement, and surgery completion. Payer, Site of Care, and Customer Marketing Develop and maintain marketing resources that support payers, healthcare providers, sites of care, and other customers throughout the patient access journey for ENCELTO™. Create customer-focused materials addressing benefit verification, prior authorization, reimbursement processes, claims submission, coding, billing, and patient support resources for ENCELTO™. Partner with cross-functional stakeholders to simplify complex access and reimbursement information into clear, actionable communications. Ensure materials are tailored to the needs of stakeholders involved in the treatment, acquisition, and reimbursement process for ENCELTO™. Buy-and-Bill and Specialty Pharmacy Channel Support Develop resources that support provider understanding of product acquisition pathways, including buy-and-bill and specialty pharmacy distribution models. Create educational tools that communicate operational workflows, reimbursement considerations, product procurement processes, and site-of-care requirements. Partner with Trade, Distribution, Reimbursement, and Patient Services teams to ensure consistency and accuracy of channel-related communications. Support development of tools that help customers navigate acquisition, surgery scheduling, reimbursement, and access and reimbursement. Access Messaging and Payer Value Communication Develop resources that support provider understanding of product acquisition pathways, including buy-and-bill and specialty pharmacy distribution models. Create educational tools that communicate operational workflows, reimbursement considerations, product procurement processes, and site-of-care requirements. Partner with Trade, Distribution, Reimbursement, and Patient Services teams to ensure consistency and accuracy of channel-related communications. Support development of tools that help customers navigate acquisition, surgery scheduling, reimbursement, and access and reimbursement. Field Team and Site of Care Enablement Develop customer-facing tools and educational resources that support Neurotech field teams. Partner closely with field teams to identify access barriers, reimbursement challenges, and customer education needs. Collaborate with commercial training to create or enhance access training materials that improve understanding of access processes and available support services. Gather and synthesize field insights to drive continuous improvement of access marketing initiatives. Field Team and Site of Care Enablement Manage agency and vendor partners supporting access marketing initiatives. Monitor utilization of access resources and recommend enhancements based on stakeholder feedback and business needs. Support operational planning, budget management, and reporting activities for the access marketing function as needed. Support Market Access Operations initiatives as needed through coordination of project activities, process documentation, reporting, stakeholder communications, and implementation of operational improvements. Collaborate with Market Access Operations and Commercial Operations teams to maintain access-related workflows, support execution of business processes, and ensure readiness of customer-facing resources and tools. Track and report on key operational metrics related to access programs, resource utilization, and customer support activities to inform continuous improvement efforts. Education & Experience Bachelor’s degree is required. Minimum of 8 years pharmaceutical, biotechnology, specialty pharmaceutical, or healthcare industry experience. Minimum of 5 years access marketing, reimbursement marketing, patient services marketing, customer marketing, or related commercial experience. Experience developing customer-facing access and reimbursement communications and educational resources. Strong understanding of provider, site of care, and patient access workflows. Experience working within specialty pharmacy and/or buy-and-bill reimbursement environments. Proven ability to manage cross-functional projects and agency partners. Experience supporting rare disease, cell therapy, gene therapy, or other complex specialty products; ophthalmology or retina experience preferred. Experience supporting surgery centers, centers of excellence, or specialty provider networks preferred. Experience partnering with payer, patient services, trade and distribution, and field reimbursement teams preferred. Experience developing payer value presentations, HEOR resources, and related, as well as tools in support of prior authorization, benefits verification, coding, billing, claims support, and reimbursement education preferred.
