A leading global insurance company is seeking an experienced Director of Cloud and Platform to lead its Microsoft Azure public cloud and on-premises application hosting platforms in Japan.

This role is accountable for platform stability, resilience, security, and performance, as well as the platform roadmap, financial governance, and people leadership, working closely with global security, architecture, and application teams.

Responsibilities:

-Own end-to-end project delivery and day-to-day operations for Azure public cloud and on-premises application hosting platforms

-Drive the migration of existing Azure workloads to strengthen the security control framework, in partnership with global teams

-Standardize and automate the full platform lifecycle, including provisioning, configuration, patching, deployment, and decommissioning

-Enable AI-assisted operations, such as generating Infrastructure as Code, automating quality assurance, and speeding up incident resolution through alert and incident correlation

-Ensure 24x7 L2/L3 operational coverage for the hybrid platform, working with the L1 command center on incident triage and escalation

-Manage the team’s operating budget, including capacity planning, cost forecasting, vendor and license spend, and cost optimization

-Lead the team, including hiring, performance management, coaching, and career development

-Define operational standards, runbooks, and automation guardrails to reduce manual work and improve consistency and security

-Partner with application, security, and enterprise architecture teams to align the infrastructure roadmap with technology strategy

-Report project status, platform health, and budget performance to senior IT leadership

Required Skills:

-10+ years of IT infrastructure experience, including hands-on or leadership experience across Microsoft Azure and on-premises Windows or Linux server environments

-Strong experience managing enterprise Azure and hybrid infrastructure, including networking, storage, compute, and application hosting

-Experience with Infrastructure as Code and automation, such as Terraform, Bicep, ARM Templates, or PowerShell

-Strong understanding of Azure security, IAM/RBAC, policy enforcement, vulnerability management, compliance, and disaster recovery

-Proven experience managing 24x7 L2/L3 operations, incident and problem management, and operational resilience

-Knowledge of Azure DevOps, Git, CI/CD pipelines, and platform engineering practices

-Understanding of AIOps, event correlation, and AI-assisted infrastructure operations

-Experience leading cloud migration, platform consolidation, and infrastructure transformation projects

-Experience managing engineering teams, vendors, IT budgets, and senior stakeholders

-Advanced English and Japanese at JLPT N2 level or above

-プロビジョニング、構成、パッチ適用、デプロイ、廃棄まで、プラットフォームのライフサイクル全体を標準化・自動化

-IaCの生成、品質保証の自動化、アラートやインシデントの相関分析による対応の迅速化など、AIを活用した運用を推進

-ハイブリッド基盤の24時間365日のL2/L3運用体制を確保し、L1のコマンドセンターとインシデントのトリアージやエスカレーションを連携

-キャパシティ計画、コスト予測、ベンダー・ライセンス費用、コスト最適化を含む、チームの運用予算を管理

-採用、評価、コーチング、キャリア開発を含むチームのマネジメント

-手作業を減らし、一貫性とセキュリティを高めるための運用標準、ランブック、自動化のガードレールを策定

-アプリケーション、セキュリティ、エンタープライズアーキテクチャの各チームと連携し、インフラのロードマップを技術戦略と整合

-プロジェクトの状況、基盤の稼働状況、予算の実績をIT上位マネジメントへ報告

必須スキル：

-ITインフラ分野で10年以上の経験（Microsoft Azureおよびオンプレミスの Windows/Linux サーバー環境における実務またはリーダー経験を含む）

-ネットワーク、ストレージ、コンピュート、アプリケーションホスティングを含む、エンタープライズAzureおよびハイブリッドインフラの運用管理経験

-Terraform、Bicep、ARMテンプレート、PowerShellなどを用いたInfrastructure as Codeおよび自動化の経験

-Azureセキュリティ、IAM/RBAC、ポリシー適用、脆弱性管理、コンプライアンス、災害復旧に関する深い理解
