Marmon Metal Services Group is seeking a hands-on Director of Data and Analytics to lead our enterprise data strategy and deliver practical, scalable analytics solutions. You will oversee the integration of ERP and business applications with our data platform, partner with business and IT leaders to improve decision-making, and remain actively involved in architecture, development, governance, team leadership, and user adoption.
What You'll Be Doing:
- Develop and execute the enterprise data and analytics strategy, roadmap, priorities, and success measures.
- Lead the architecture, development, deployment, and support of scalable data platforms, models, pipelines, dashboards, and reporting solutions.
- Advance Microsoft Fabric, Power BI, Azure data services, SQL, and Epicor Grow as core analytics capabilities.
- Integrate Epicor Kinetic and other enterprise applications to deliver reliable, consistent, and timely information.
- Partner with executives and functional leaders to translate business needs into practical analytics solutions and measurable outcomes.
- Establish pragmatic data governance, quality, security, stewardship, and documentation standards.
- Lead and develop a small analytics and BI team while remaining actively involved in technical delivery and issue resolution.
- Build data literacy and self-service capabilities through training, documentation, and user support.
- Identify opportunities to automate reporting and responsibly apply advanced analytics and AI.
Travel:
Up to 25% travel to Marmon Metal Services locations for implementations, discovery, training, collaboration, and stakeholder engagement.
What Makes You a Great Fit:
- Bachelor’s degree in data science, computer science, information systems, business analytics, engineering, or a related field; an advanced degree or equivalent practical experience is an asset.
- 8–10+ years of progressive experience in data analytics, business intelligence, data engineering, or enterprise data, including 3–5 years leading teams or major cross-functional initiatives.
- Current hands-on expertise with Microsoft Fabric, Power BI, Azure data services, SQL, dimensional data modelling, semantic models, data pipelines, and enterprise reporting.
- Proven ability to design, build, troubleshoot, and optimize production analytics solutions while guiding technical professionals.
- Experience integrating ERP systems with enterprise analytics environments; Epicor Kinetic experience is strongly preferred.
- Working knowledge of data governance, quality, security, privacy, master data, and enterprise architecture.
- Strong business partnership, communication, change leadership, and prioritization skills, ideally gained in distribution, manufacturing, supply chain, finance, sales, or operations.
