Job Description
Ready to take your career global?
Make your mark at one of the biggest names in payments. We’re looking for a Director of Data Trust to join our ever evolving Data Trust & Data Governance team and help shape the future of global commerce. In this highly visible leadership role, you will define what trusted data means across Global Payments and create the frameworks, standards and accountability models that enable data to be understood, owned, discoverable, reliable and ready for business, analytics, regulatory and artificial intelligence use. By partnering across Data Governance Operations, Data Platform Engineering, Data Risk, Responsible AI and Continuous Compliance, you will influence how data is managed and consumed across the enterprise while helping unlock innovation, improve decision-making and strengthen confidence in the data that powers our products, clients and future growth.
What you'll own
- Define the enterprise vision for trusted data by establishing standards, policies and accountability frameworks that improve transparency, reliability and confidence in data across the organization.
- Drive enterprise-wide adoption of data ownership and stewardship practices that strengthen accountability, improve data quality outcomes and enable consistent management of critical business data assets.
- Shape how data is discovered, understood and reused by advancing metadata, catalog, business glossary and semantic standards that make data more accessible and valuable to teams across the enterprise.
- Create measurable trust in enterprise data through data quality, certification, lineage and trust-scoring frameworks that help leaders make informed decisions with confidence.
- Enable scalable and AI-ready data capabilities by defining trust requirements, governance standards and reusable data product practices that support innovation while reducing risk.
What you'll bring
- Proven leadership experience in data governance, data management, data quality or enterprise data strategy, with a track record of building frameworks that improve trust, accountability and usability of data.
- Strong expertise in data ownership, stewardship, metadata management, data cataloging, business glossary development, data lineage and data quality management practices.
- Demonstrated ability to translate complex data challenges into scalable enterprise standards and operating models that drive measurable business outcomes.
- Experience influencing senior stakeholders and leading cross-functional initiatives across technology, risk, compliance, analytics and business teams.
- A strategic mindset combined with strong execution skills, enabling you to balance long-term vision with practical approaches that deliver enterprise adoption and measurable results.
It's a bonus if you have
- Experience establishing or scaling enterprise data trust, certification or data product programs within large, complex organizations.
- Knowledge of Responsible AI, data governance for artificial intelligence and regulatory data management practices.
- Experience developing trust metrics, executive reporting and governance maturity frameworks that demonstrate business value and continuous improvement.
