About the Role:

The Director of Digital Experience will lead the strategy, performance, governance and continuous improvement of Uniti’s primary company website and related digital customer experiences. This role is responsible for ensuring Uniti.com serves as a modern, high-performing digital front door for customers, prospects, investors, employees and other stakeholders—supporting brand credibility, customer acquisition, ecommerce enablement, organic search visibility, lead generation, content management and measurable business outcomes.

Reporting to the VP of Corporate Communications, this position resides in a shared services organization and will partner closely with Marketing, Sales, Product, IT, Investor Relations, Legal, Customer Experience and external agency partners to build and maintain a cohesive, accessible, accurate and conversion-oriented web presence across Uniti’s portfolio of brands.

What You'll Do:

Website Strategy and Governance

  • Own the strategic roadmap for Uniti’s website, ensuring it supports corporate priorities, customer needs, brand positioning and commercial growth objectives.
  • Establish and manage web governance processes, including content ownership, publishing workflows, quality assurance, brand standards, accessibility expectations, compliance reviews and performance reporting.
  • Serve as the business owner for website enhancements, platform improvements, navigation, information architecture, user journeys and cross-functional digital initiatives.
  • Partner with IT and external vendors to ensure the website is secure, scalable, reliable, accessible and optimized for performance across devices and browsers.
  • Direct and coordinate the work of team members and cross-functional contributors supporting digital initiatives, including setting priorities, reviewing deliverables and ensuring high-quality execution, regardless of direct reporting relationships.

Ecommerce and Digital Conversion

  • Lead ecommerce strategy and optimization for uniti.com digital experience that supports customer acquisition, product exploration, quote requests, lead capture, support pathways and, where applicable, online ordering or self-service transactions.
  • Define and optimize end-to-end digital customer journeys across all audiences.
  • Identify opportunities to reduce friction in key customer journeys and improve conversion rates through testing, personalization, experience design and data-informed iteration.
  • Collaborate with Marketing Operations and IT to optimize CRM, marketing automation, analytics, personalization, and lead management integrations that connect digital engagement to pipeline generation and revenue outcomes.
  • Define ecommerce and conversion KPIs, monitor funnel performance and recommend enhancements that improve qualified traffic, lead quality, completion rates and customer satisfaction.

SEO, Content and Digital Marketing Performance

  • Develop and lead Uniti’s SEO strategy, including technical SEO, on-page optimization, content planning, metadata, schema, site health, keyword strategy and organic performance reporting.
  • Lead strategies that enhance Uniti's visibility across traditional search engines, AI-powered search experiences, large language models, and emerging digital discovery platforms.
  • Establish content, schema, metadata, and structured data standards that improve discoverability and authority across AI-driven search experiences.
  • Oversee website content management and publishing processes to ensure content is accurate, up to date, customer-focused, searchable, accessible and aligned with Uniti’s brand voice.
  • Partner with Communications, Marketing, Product and business leaders to translate business priorities into compelling digital content, landing pages, campaign experiences and thought leadership assets.
  • Use analytics, search insights, audience behavior and competitive research to guide content decisions and continuously improve findability, engagement and conversion.

Analytics, Optimization and Reporting

  • Build and maintain a digital measurement framework using best-in-class tools.
  • Analyze website traffic, search performance, user behavior, campaign attribution, lead generation, conversion performance and content effectiveness to identify actionable insights.
  • Present clear, executive-ready reporting on digital performance, business impact, risks, opportunities and recommended actions.
  • Establish a test-and-learn discipline, including A/B testing, user research, usability reviews and continuous optimization of priority digital journeys.

Platform, Vendor and Cross-Functional Leadership

  • Lead cross-functional prioritization of website requests, balancing business urgency, user impact, compliance needs and technical feasibility.
  • Partner with IT and cybersecurity stakeholders to support site stability, integrations, data privacy, security requirements and platform roadmap decisions.
  • Manage relationships with digital agencies, development partners, SEO consultants, analytics partners and platform vendors to deliver work on time, within budget and aligned with quality standards.
  • Stay current on digital experience trends, search algorithm changes, content management practices, AI-enabled digital tools, ecommerce capabilities and accessibility standards.

Do You Have:

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, digital strategy, business, information systems, user experience or a related field; equivalent experience may be considered.
  • 10+ years of progressive experience in digital experience, website strategy, ecommerce, digital marketing, content strategy, SEO, web product management or a related discipline.
  • Demonstrated experience owning or leading a corporate website or major digital platform in a complex, matrixed organization.
  • Strong understanding of SEO, content management systems, ecommerce or lead-generation funnels, digital analytics, UX principles, accessibility and web governance.
  • Proven ability to translate business priorities into digital strategies, roadmaps, requirements and measurable outcomes.
  • Experience managing agencies, vendors, budgets, timelines and cross-functional stakeholders.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain digital performance, technical concepts and strategic recommendations to executive audiences.
  • Strong project management, prioritization and problem-solving skills with the ability to manage multiple initiatives simultaneously.

Even Better:

  • Experience in telecommunications, fiber infrastructure, broadband, technology, B2B services or another complex commercial environment.
  • Experience with enterprise CMS platforms, marketing automation tools, CRM integrations, personalization platforms, tag management systems and SEO platforms.
  • Familiarity with regulated or publicly traded company environments, including investor-facing content, compliance reviews and brand governance.
