About the Role
Lead and grow multiple product engineering teams at a mission-driven K-12 education technology company. You will shape technical direction and product delivery as the organization expands its scheduling platform for schools.
What You'll Do
Lead multiple product squads, supporting engineers and managers while driving delivery across their products.
Contribute code, review designs, and pair with engineers, starting with a roughly even split between hands-on work and leadership.
Make architecture decisions that strengthen platform reliability and support future growth.
Partner with product and other cross-functional teams to set goals and connect engineering priorities to business outcomes.
Deliver product improvements, including AI-enabled capabilities, in line with school scheduling needs.
What We're Looking For
At least 3 years of engineering management experience, including managing multiple teams and supporting team growth.
Experience owning product areas and business outcomes such as delivery speed, quality, growth, or retention.
Strong backend architecture and design skills, including the ability to evaluate technical trade-offs.
Hands-on coding and code review ability, with a willingness to remain technically involved as the role evolves toward a greater leadership focus.
Experience with TypeScript or Python, AWS, and MongoDB; familiarity with React and the ability to learn new technologies.
Background in K-12 education technology or related education and learning fields, plus experience working in a startup or high-growth environment.
Clear communication skills and the ability to translate technical decisions into business outcomes.
Compensation & Benefits
Base salary range: $210,000 to $240,000 annually. Visa sponsorship is available.
Location
Remote within the United States. The role includes travel for company retreats and occasional business trips.
