The Role As Director of Engineering, you will manage multiple teams who are responsible for transforming large raw data inputs into enriched data that powers our core product. The software uses a combination of AI, human operations tools, and large data pipelines. You will be a technical leader, setting the vision for the full-stack architecture. You will partner closely with product managers, operations managers, designers, and customer success to design and deliver new functionality at scale. You will organize and grow your team in order to meet the needs of the business. And you will help team members progress on their individual career paths. What Success Looks Like Pragmatically executing on strategic initiatives Collaborating cross-functionally to plan, design, and execute on strategic priorities Creating a technical roadmap and resource plan Growing the team with a high hiring bar, and onboarding new team members Growing people through formal and informal feedback and career growth plans Building a strong team culture Contributing to business strategy with an engineering perspective Implementing processes and technologies that optimize velocity, including AI tools What You Bring Bachelor’s degree or higher in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, or related technical field 5+ years of managing managers experience 10+ years of engineering leadership, including building large-scale customer-facing products Technical depth in operations engineering (or similar), big data pipelines, and AI/ML Experience building products using AI/ML Preferred Experience Experience with computer vision and/or video processing Domain experience/knowledge in construction Doxel is an equal opportunity employer and actively seeks diversity at our company.
