Director of Growth (US-Based, Part-Time) Location: United States (Remote) Type: Part-Time Contractor (target ~50% time; flexible for the right candidate) Reports To: CEO , Vulcury LLC About Vulcury Vulcury LLC is a venture studio and holding-company platform building and scaling multiple business lines — including Trustbridge (AI-enabled manufacturing supplier matching) and Calisade (research/investment) — alongside a growing portfolio of spinout ventures. We operate lean, with a small senior leadership team supported by a distributed team of junior specialists working under structured systems and processes. The Role We're looking for a Director of Growth to own demand generation end-to-end. This role is structured as part-time (targeting roughly half-time) as a matter of capital discipline at our stage — but we're open to a different arrangement for the right person. What matters most is not the hours on a calendar, but that our India-based marketing team has a consistent, engaged source of direction and does not go without leadership day to day. You'll bring 5-10 years of hands-on experience, set the standard for quality and craft, and manage a cadre of junior marketers already in place, with full ownership of the function and no layer of leadership above you other than Vulcury's President. This is a senior leadership role, not just an individual contributor position. You will both execute at a high level and manage junior team members executing under your direction, spanning the full demand generation funnel — marketing, sales oversight, and everything in between. You'll support growth needs across our core consultancy, our internal spinout ventures, and potentially client engagements as our services expand. Schedule note: Because our junior marketing team is based in India, this role requires regular, dependable overlap with India business hours — not occasional, but a standing part of the job. In practice, this means being comfortable logging on in the early morning or staying online into the late evening (US time) on a recurring basis to hold live check-ins, reviews, and coaching sessions with the team. The India team's need for consistent direction is the fixed point of this role; the exact hours structure around it can flex. Compensation We pay market rate, prorated to the agreed time commitment, with potential equity upside for the right candidate. Requirements What We're Looking For 5-10 years of marketing and/or sales experience, with demonstrated ability to manage people and not just campaigns or accounts Experience owning both marketing execution and sales pipeline oversight — a true full-funnel operator Experience in B2B strongly preferred Background or genuine fluency in one or more of: supply chain/manufacturing, venture studios/consulting, or finance/hedge funds — through prior work, education, or adjacent experience Proven ability to build and run demand generation operations across multiple channels simultaneously (not a single-channel specialist) Comfortable working with data — segmentation, tracking, attribution, funnel conversion — not just creative execution Strong written communication; capable of producing and reviewing blog and content work directly Able to operate with autonomy in a lean, fast-moving, AI-augmented team structure with minimal traditional middle management Willing and able to provide consistent, ongoing direction to a team on India business hours — comfortable anchoring recurring check-ins to early mornings or late evenings (US time) Nice to Have Experience marketing and selling for a holding company, venture studio, or multi-business-line organization Prior experience managing distributed or international teams, particularly across US-India time zones Familiarity with CRM/marketing automation tooling and AI-assisted workflows Benefits What You'll Own Team leadership: Manage and mentor a team of junior marketers based in India — reviewing work, setting priorities, and building their skills toward independent execution Demand generation, top to bottom: Own the full funnel from awareness through pipeline to close, including: Email marketing Social media PR Website/web presence Webinars Blog writing and content strategy Sales oversight — pipeline management, conversion, and close-rate accountability Data & measurement: Own segmentation, tracking, and reporting infrastructure across all channels and the sales funnel to inform strategy and prove ROI Cross-venture support: Adapt growth strategy across different business contexts — from an early-stage venture studio/consultancy model to spinouts in supply chain/manufacturing and potentially high finance/hedge fund contexts Startup growth mindset: Bring a growth orientation suited to early-stage and scaling businesses, not just steady-state brand marketing or account management
