£150,000 - £175,000 + Bonus

Join a major global banking organisation undergoing significant technology transformation as they build a modern, consolidated infrastructure platform across cloud, data centre, and end-user computing environments.

This is a highly visible Executive Director position reporting to the Head of Architecture, responsible for defining the target-state infrastructure strategy and leading large-scale consolidation, migration, and transformation initiatives across the bank.

The Role

• Define and own the future-state infrastructure architecture
• Lead data centre consolidation and migration programmes
• Drive cloud adoption across AWS and Azure environments
• Develop cloud landing zones, hybrid connectivity, and infrastructure standards
• Lead VDI and end-user computing consolidation initiatives
• Own operational resilience, disaster recovery, and business continuity architecture
• Drive infrastructure cost optimisation and estate rationalisation
• Provide architecture governance and Design Authority oversight
• Work closely with Engineering, Security, Cloud, Network, and Business leaders

Skills & Experience

• Extensive Infrastructure Architecture experience within Financial Services
• Strong experience delivering data centre migration, consolidation, or exit programmes
• Expertise across AWS and/or Azure cloud platforms
• Experience designing hybrid cloud architectures
• Knowledge of VDI technologies including Citrix, VMware Horizon, and Azure Virtual Desktop
• Strong understanding of operational resilience and disaster recovery
• Experience with Terraform, Ansible, and Infrastructure as Code
• Ability to influence senior stakeholders and drive strategic change
