Director of Loss Control and Risk TenCate Americas Location: Chattanooga, TN or Remote (Regular U.S. Travel Required) Position Summary The Director of Loss Control will be an added team member helping to lead TenCate Americas’ enterprise-wide risk strategy across a highly distributed, multi-site operating model . This includes oversight of property & casualty programs, workers’ compensation, auto liability, and general liability, with a strong emphasis on construction-related risk, field operations, and large fleet exposure . This role reports to the CFO, TenCate Americas. This role partners closely with safety, operations, and executive leadership to proactively identify, mitigate, and manage risk across manufacturing, installation, and field-based environments while optimizing insurance structures, claims performance, and total cost of risk. Key Responsibilities Partner with the CFO and other team members to help manage all aspects of TenCate Americas’ property & casualty insurance programs , including renewals, broker relationships, and coverage strategy Oversee workers’ compensation, auto liability, and general liability claims , driving effective resolution and cost containment across a distributed operating footprint Develop and implement loss control and safety initiatives across manufacturing facilities and field installation/construction environments Work with the safety department to drive enterprise efforts to reduce risk associated with large vehicle equipment fleets and mobile crews Partner with operations leadership to improve field safety practices , including high-risk activities (e.g., installation, outdoor work, and contractor coordination) Analyze claims data and trends to identify root causes and implement corrective actions across business units Manage relationships with TPAs, carriers, adjusters, brokers, and legal counsel Oversee self-insured retentions (SIRs), deductibles, and other insurance programs where applicable Establish standardized claims reporting, incident management, and risk governance processes across all locations Support M&A activity and integration , including risk due diligence and alignment of acquired operations to TenCate standards Provide regular reporting and insights to executive leadership on risk exposure, claims trends, and mitigation strategies Qualifications 10+ years of experience in risk management, insurance, or loss control , preferably supporting construction, manufacturing, or multi-site industrial organizations Deep expertise in workers’ compensation, auto, general liability, and property claims management , including construction defect and fleet-related exposures Experience managing large, complex claims portfolios and high-severity risks Strong knowledge of insurance program structures , including SIRs and captives Proven ability to influence operations and drive enterprise-wide safety culture improvements Experience managing brokers, carriers, and external partners Bachelor’s degree required; ARM, CPCU, or similar certifications preferred Preferred Experience Experience in decentralized or acquisition-driven organizations similar to TenCate’s operating model Background supporting companies with large vehicle fleets, distributed crews, and field-based operations Familiarity with construction/installation risk, high-risk workers’ comp environments, and property casualty programs with significant annual spend Work Environment Based in Chattanooga, TN or remote with regular travel to operating locations across the U.S. EEO Statement TenCate Americas is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
