Overview Our client, a well-established nonprofit organization, is seeking a relationship-focused Director of Major Gifts to lead and expand its major donor fundraising efforts. This is an opportunity to partner directly with the CEO and play a key role in advancing the organization's mission through strategic donor engagement and philanthropic growth. The ideal candidate is an experienced frontline fundraiser with a proven ability to cultivate, solicit, and steward major donors while building lasting relationships with individuals, foundations, and corporate partners. Key Responsibilities Develop, cultivate, and manage a portfolio of major gift prospects and donors Identify, solicit, and close major gifts of $10,000+ and transformational gifts of $100,000+ Partner closely with the CEO on donor strategy, cultivation activities, and high-level fundraising initiatives Support board engagement and collaborate with leadership on donor development efforts Utilize moves management best practices to strengthen donor relationships and maximize long-term giving Maintain accurate donor records, pipeline activity, and reporting within the organization's CRM Monitor fundraising progress and contribute toward annual development goals through data-driven pipeline management Qualifications 6+ years of frontline major gifts fundraising experience Demonstrated success securing five- and six-figure philanthropic gifts Strong network or familiarity with the MetroWest Massachusetts community is preferred Experience using Salesforce or another donor relationship management (CRM) platform Passion for mission-driven work and building meaningful community partnerships Bachelor's degree required Valid driver's license and ability to travel locally for donor meetings Why This Opportunity?
