As a Director of Multifamily Partnerships, you'll drive AVA's growth by building and closing partnerships with property management companies nationwide. You'll be the primary point of contact for property management leadership, showing them how AVA's platform delivers real value to their staff and residents — and closing the deals that bring them on board.
As Director of Multifamily Partnerships at AVA, you’ll drive our growth by building and closing partnerships with property management companies nationwide. This role is built for a seasoned MDU professional. You’ve spent years selling into multifamily or partnering with the companies that do, you know how decisions get made from the regional office to the corporate suite, and you already have relationships that open doors. You’ll be the primary point of contact for property management leadership, showing them how AVA’s platform delivers real value to their staff and residents, and closing the deals that bring entire portfolios on board.
What you’ll do:
- Build and own a national pipeline of property management companies, from first outreach to signed portfolio-level partnership.
- Use your existing network of owners, operators, regional managers, and on-site teams to accelerate access and shorten sales cycles.
- Navigate complex, multi-stakeholder deals across corporate, regional, and property-level decision makers, including procurement, legal, and operations.
- Develop relationships with property managers and on-site staff across your accounts, becoming a trusted resource as each portfolio grows.
- Plan and host sales events and activations that generate leads and build AVA’s presence in new markets.
- Run your territory with autonomy, setting your own strategy and pace to hit and exceed quota.
What you bring:
- 8+ years of experience in the MDU / multifamily space, either selling directly to property management companies or working for an MDU partner such as a broadband or telecom provider, proptech or amenity vendor, or resident services company.
- An established network of property management relationships at the regional and corporate level that you can activate from day one.
- A proven record of meeting or exceeding quota in a quota-carrying role, including closing portfolio-wide or multi-property agreements.
- Deep understanding of how multifamily operates: owner/operator dynamics, lease-up and stabilized properties, on-site priorities, and how PMCs evaluate and approve vendors.
- Strong negotiation skills and the judgment to structure deals that work for owners, operators, and residents.
- Polished communication and presentation skills for engaging property management executives.
- Reliable transportation and a valid driver’s license for regular travel.
- Willingness to travel nationally and work flexible hours, including evenings, to support events and partner schedules.
What you’ll get:
- Health, dental, and vision insurance
- Unlimited PTO
- Monthly gas allowance
Compensation:
- Base salary: $80,000 – $96,000, based on experience
- OTE: $180,000 (base + uncapped commission)
