What you'll be doing…

As Director of Pricing for the Pricing and Contract Management organization within Verizon Business Group (VBG), you will lead commercial, financial, and contractual strategy for large-scale, multi-service enterprise pursuits. In this core leadership position, you will exercise independent judgment to drive pricing methodologies, complex financial modeling, margin optimization, legal risk mitigation, and executive governance across key deals.

  • Building, scaling, and leading a high-performing team of commercial deal strategists and financial negotiators, establishing a culture of rigorous financial analysis, disciplined risk management, and operational excellence.
  • Mentoring Associate Directors, senior managers, and specialists while executing complex negotiations across enterprise pursuits.
  • Independently overseeing commercial governance, deal compliance, and legal/financial risk controls for VBG's largest enterprise pursuits.
  • Managing and executing Delegation of Authority (DOA) guidelines to ensure executive briefings (EMR), financial models, and contractual terms maintain financial integrity and margin compliance.
  • Partnering with sales leadership, product marketing, and finance to develop competitive go-to-market pricing strategies for emerging technologies and multi-service solutions.
  • Leading post-deal contract reviews and financial retrospectives to measure margin realization against initial EMR models and inform future deal structuring.
  • Driving cross-functional alignment between legal, regulatory, and revenue operations to streamline proposal-to-contract cycle times.

What we're looking for…

You'll need to have:

  • Bachelor's degree or four or more years of work experience.
  • Ten or more years of relevant experience required, demonstrated through one or a combination of work and/or military experience, or specialized training.
  • Experience leading, developing, and scaling high-performing commercial, financial, or deal-desk teams.
  • Experience in commercial deal structuring, enterprise revenue operations, financial management, pricing strategy, and/or complex contract negotiations within telecommunications, technology, or complex services sectors.
  • Experience building and presenting executive-level presentations and briefs to leadership.
  • Willingness to travel.

Even better if you have one or more of the following:

  • Master's degree in Finance, Business Administration, Commercial Law, Economics, and/or relevant field.
  • Experience managing senior specialists and cross-functional, matrixed teams.
  • Demonstrated mastery of complex financial modeling, margin analysis, P&L management, deal lifecycle management, and Delegation of Authority (DOA) governance frameworks.
  • Experience serving as a lead commercial negotiator on high-stakes, multi-million-dollar enterprise contracts with direct interaction alongside customer C-suite executives and internal VP/CFO stakeholders.
  • In-depth understanding of legal terms, risk allocation, contract structures, and regulatory compliance within enterprise business environments.

If Verizon and this role sound like a fit for you, we encourage you to apply even if you don't meet every "even better" qualification listed above.
