Apply Description IMS Legal Strategies is a trusted partner to law firms and corporations worldwide, providing the expertise and technology needed to solve dispute-related challenges and protect reputations. IMS delivers strategic solutions for the entire litigation lifecycle, including advisory and analytical support, specialized expert witness services, data-driven jury consulting, powerful trial graphics, and seamless presentation technology. Our integrated teams have decades of practical experience in more than 65,000 cases and 6,500 trials. “Together, we win” is the IMS company motto and a genuine philosophy that guides our work with clients, experts, and one another. From entry-level to executives, we are driven by five core values: 1) Ownership Thinking, 2) Humble Confidence, 3) Quality and Excellence, 4) Honor the Relationship, and 5) Operate as One. We invite you to join our thriving company, committed to shared success. Visit imslegal.com for more. JOB SUMMARY: The Director of Product Management owns the vision, strategy, and roadmap for IMS's proprietary technology suite in translating the firm's 30-year base of litigation and case outcome expertise into modern, AI-enabled products. This role sits at the intersection of legal services domain expertise and technical product leadership: it requires someone who can both set a defensible multi-year product strategy and get into the details of requirements, prioritization, and delivery with engineering, data science, and business stakeholders. The Director will initially serve as an individual contributor and foundational product leader, establishing product management best practices and operating rhythms while helping define the long-term organizational structure for the product function as the company scales. This role partners with executive leadership on evaluating product and technology considerations during acquisitions, providing product strategy and integration recommendations that support IMS's active M&A strategy under Uplift Investors. This is a great opportunity for an ambitious product leader who is excited to be an early product owner into a mature and successful business with a large greenfield opportunity for technology-enablement over the next several years. The company is at an inflection point and embarking on a new technology journey starting in 2026. This is a chance to own a product roadmap that transforms a services-driven market-leader into a technology-driven powerhouse and creates hundreds of millions of dollars of enterprise value along the way. Requirements ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: Product Strategy & Roadmap Own the end-to-end product vision and roadmap across IMS's proprietary tool suite (The Advantage®, Chronos®, TrialLink®) spanning jury consulting, litigation surveys, expert witness search, trial graphics, and medical-legal consulting Lead platform modernization and consolidation strategy, unifying legacy and acquired-company tools into a coherent, scalable user experience rather than a patchwork of point solutions Define and track product KPIs (adoption, utilization, client retention, time-to-value) and connect them explicitly to EBITDA impact and growth-velocity metrics relevant to Uplift Investors Establish and lead the product operating cadence, including roadmap reviews, quarterly planning, sprint planning, backlog refinement, release planning, and cross-functional prioritization to ensure predictable product delivery Own the product management lifecycle using modern Agile practices and tools (e.g., Jira, Confluence), partnering closely with Engineering on release management, launch readiness, and continuous improvement processes AI & Data-Driven Product Development Partner with the Director of Data and engineering to translate 30 years of proprietary case outcome data into shippable AI-powered capabilities — predictive verdict modeling, expert-witness matching, and behavioral/consumer science analysis augmentation Partner with Data Engineering and Analytics teams to ensure data is structured, governed, and production-ready, enabling scalable AI/ML products and reliable product analytics Define product requirements for data quality, data readiness, and model inputs necessary to support predictive products and AI-enabled experiences. Define product requirements and success criteria for AI/ML features, balancing model capability with the accuracy, explainability, and risk tolerance expectations of litigation clients Lead execution of proprietary AI/ML-driven matching technology that enables data-driven matching of supply and demand and improves over time Establish a product management operating model — backlog discipline, prioritization frameworks, and OKRs — suited to a hybrid employee/affiliate delivery organization M&A & Technical Due Diligence Partner with executive leadership and the CTO in evaluating product strategy, product-market fit, technology capabilities, integration complexity, and roadmap implications during technical due diligence for acquisition targets. Lead product integration planning for acquired technologies, developing build-vs-buy-vs-integrate recommendations and product roadmap priorities following acquisitions. Partner with business leaders to define product requirements supporting international expansion initiatives, including jurisdictional and client-specific needs where applicable. Stakeholder & Executive Engagement Act as the voice of the customer — internal jury consultants, trial teams, expert witnesses, external law firms and corporate legal clients — in translating litigation support workflows into product requirements Meet with internal stakeholders regularly to understand their end-to-end workflows, identify repetitive / manual tasks that are candidates for automation and translate these into product requirements; own execution of these product features and measure business impact Understand current pricing mechanisms across various business lines; identify areas of opportunity via product to improve pricing efficiency and maximize gross margin Develop product roadmap updates, business cases, and executive communications for leadership, including quarterly business reviews and strategic planning discussions Represent product strategy and progress in board decks, QBRs, and investment thesis reviews with Uplift Investors Partner closely with the CTO on the overall technology roadmap, ensuring product priorities align with platform modernization and AI/data infrastructure investments SKILLS & EXPERIENCE: Experience leading product for B2B SaaS platforms or talent marketplaces in professional services, legal technology, financial services, expert networks, recruiting or another regulated/enterprise vertical Demonstrated experience integrating products following M&A or leading platform consolidation across previously disparate systems Experience establishing product management processes and operating rhythms in a growing organization, including roadmap planning, Agile delivery, release management, and cross-functional governance Experience operating as an early or foundational product leader, with the ability to build alignment across stakeholders and influence without a large established product organization Comfortable operating with modern, cross-functional agile product delivery tooling and practices Experience serving law firms or corporate legal departments as end users of B2B software, with an understanding of trial preparation and litigation workflows Familiarity with the confidentiality, privilege, client-conflict, and data-security considerations inherent to legal industry data Proven experience building, leading, and developing high-performing product teams as the function scales Strong people leadership skills, including coaching, accountability, and cross-functional collaboration Direct experience in litigation support, jury consulting, legal technology, or a closely adjacent legal services domain strongly preferred EDUCATION & TECHNICAL REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required 10+ years of product management experience, including 5+ years in a senior product leadership role. Working fluency in AI/ML product development — RAG, NLP, predictive/classification modeling — sufficient to partner credibly with data science and engineering leadership Cloud platform fluency (AWS/Azure/GCP) sufficient to make infrastructure trade-off calls with engineering, not just consume outputs. API and integration architecture experience — a modernization roadmap unifying 14+ acquired tools lives or dies on integration design. Familiarity with vendor/partner AI model evaluation (LLM selection, cost/latency/accuracy trade-offs), since some AI components will likely be bought rather than built in-house. Experience with usage analytics and product telemetry instrumentation to measure adoption KPIs in practice. Experience with data privacy/security frameworks specific to litigation (protective orders, eDiscovery handling, chain-of-custody requirements), beyond generic SaaS compliance. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: The essential physical and work environment requirements of this fully remote role must be performed with or without reasonable accommodation This role is primarily sedentary and requires remaining in a stationary position for prolonged periods while performing computer-based work, participating in virtual meetings, and communicating through company systems Must be able to operate a computer, keyboard, mouse, phone, and other standard office equipment necessary to perform the role. Requires frequent use of close vision, including reading information on a computer screen, reviewing documents, and working with digital tools for extended periods Requires the ability to communicate and exchange accurate information by phone, video conferencing, email, chat, and other virtual communication tools Must be able to maintain a remote work environment that allows for reliable internet access, effective virtual participation, confidentiality, and appropriate protection of company and client information May occasionally move, lift, carry, or position office equipment or materials weighing up to 10 pounds Occasional travel may be required for business meetings, team events, client meetings, or other company needs LOCATION: This position is 100% remote and supports east to west coast time zones Our Employer Value Proposition Includes Competitive compensation package with 401K match Flexible PTO and 12 paid holidays Robust health and welfare benefits, including medical, dental, vision, HSA, short-term disability, long-term disability, and life insurance, all with generous company contributions Career development programs supported through an integrated Learning Platform Talent Identification Program to recognize and reward our high-performing, high-potential team members through career growth opportunities and unique development experiences Values-driven culture based on respect, care, growth, and excellence IMS Legal Services is an equal opportunity employer that is committed to inclusion and diversity. We take affirmative action to ensure equal opportunity for all applicants without regard to race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, disability, Veteran status, or other legally protected characteristics.
