Director of Provider Development

Job title: Director of Provider Development
Reporting to: VP of Provider Development
Location: Remote (United States)

Employment type: Full-time

A one-off opportunity for a Director of Provider Development with a passion for technology and clinical trials to take a central role within a market-leading business and immediately make an impact.

Who We Are

IgniteData is a thriving, cutting-edge technology business shaping the future of clinical trials in collaboration with some of the largest global pharmaceutical and healthcare organisations.

Clinical trials are essentially complex data collection projects, with roughly 50% of the data required manually copied from patient Electronic Health Records (EHR) into the systems used by researchers to run studies, typically EDC. Archer, IgniteData’s EHR2EDC software built with UK Government support and now rapidly scaling with recent funding, has the potential to transform clinical trial delivery globally by reducing this manual data entry and the many associated costs, speeding up trials and ultimately helping to get new treatments to patients faster.

IgniteData is already recognised by top pharma as a leader in this rapidly evolving EHR2EDC market. Our strategy is now to rapidly expand our footprint in the UK, Europe and US.

Your Next Challenge

We are searching for an inspiring, results-driven and solution-focused Director of Provider Development to join our vibrant team as the business hits a true inflection point.

Reporting to the VP of Provider Development, this pivotal role will grow IgniteData’s global research site network, taking assigned sites from first conversation through to a signed agreement. You will draw on your industry expertise, professional network and strategic mindset to run discovery meetings and demos, build relationships with research and IT stakeholders, and bring new sites onto Archer.

Responsibilities

  • Grow IgniteData’s site network across NCI-designated cancer centers, academic medical centers, health systems, community sites and site networks
  • Manage the full sales cycle for assigned sites, from prospecting and overview calls through demos, vendor and security assessments, contracting and signature
  • Build and maintain relationships with research, clinical operations and IT stakeholders at target sites
  • Coordinate with Sponsor BD so that site outreach lines up with sponsor priority lists and study pipelines
  • Work with Legal to move site contracts through to signature, and with Marketing to publicize new sites
  • Hand signed sites over to Client Success and Delivery for deployment
  • Maintain accurate pipeline, forecast and activity data in HubSpot
  • Represent IgniteData at industry conferences and events

All IgniteData employees are responsible for completing required security training, adhering to applicable security policies and procedures, and supporting the organization’s information security requirements.

What You Bring

  • Strategic selling: sound account planning, opportunity qualification, territory and pipeline management, and CRM discipline
  • Customer engagement: the ability to run effective discovery meetings, build relationships, understand a site’s challenges and deliver value-focused presentations
  • Industry knowledge: a grounding in clinical research and drug development, and in how pharma sponsors and research sites are organized
  • Communication: professional verbal and written communication, strong presentation skills, active listening and collaboration
  • Business acumen: the ability to understand customer objectives, identify value and contribute to business cases
  • Technology familiarity: working knowledge of EHR and clinical research technology (for example Epic, Oracle Health, EDC, eSource and CTMS)
  • Travel: willingness to travel to customer sites, partner meetings and industry events

What You Get in Return

Competitive base salary (dependent on experience), commission plan, a comprehensive benefits package and more.
