This one gets to build the practice.

I'm partnering with a large national accounting firm to find a Director to lead their R&D Tax Incentive offering in Brisbane. The client base is the good stuff: SaaS founders scaling fast, MedTech businesses working through clinical and TGA pathways, and biotech companies turning research into real commercial outcomes.

The national platform is already there. What they need now is a senior leader in Brisbane who can own the client relationships, win new work and grow the team.

What you'll be doing

• Leading R&DTI engagements end to end, from Aus Industry registration through to ATO lodgment and review support
• Being the go-to advisor for founders, CEOs and CFOs, turning complex science and tech into defensible claims
• Advising on the bigger innovation funding picture: grants, refundable offsets, R&D financing and cash flow
• Building referral networks across VCs, incubators, universities and the Queensland innovation scene
• Leading and developing a team of Managers and Seniors

What you'll bring

• Senior R&D Tax experience from a Big 4, mid-tier or specialist R&D consultancy
• Hands on exposure to software, MedTech or biotech clients
• Confidence talking shop with engineers, developers and scientists
• A track record of winning and growing clients, not just servicing them
• A background in accounting, tax, law, science or engineering (technical degree + commercial tax experience is a strong combo)
