About Four Star Chemical

Four Star Chemical is a Starco Brands portfolio company specializing in aerosol manufacturing and private-label and contract-manufacturing solutions. The business partners with leading brands, retailers, and distributors to develop and manufacture high-quality aerosol products.

The Opportunity

We are seeking an accomplished Director of Sales to lead business development and sales growth for Four Star Chemical's private-label and contract-manufacturing aerosol business.

This executive will be responsible for identifying, developing, and expanding relationships with major retailers, distributors, brands, and private-label customers. The ideal candidate will bring a proven track record of selling private-label or contract-manufactured aerosol products, along with an established network of industry relationships.

This is a highly strategic, hands-on sales leadership role for an individual who can leverage an existing industry network while also developing new customer relationships, expanding market opportunities, and driving meaningful revenue growth for Four Star Chemical.

As part of the Starco Brands portfolio, this leader will have the opportunity to help shape the continued growth of a specialized manufacturing business while contributing to the broader growth strategy of a diversified consumer products organization.

Key Responsibilities

Sales & Business Development

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive sales strategy for the private-label aerosol business.

  • Drive new business development and revenue growth across industrial, household, automotive, and related aerosol product categories.

  • Identify, prospect, and develop relationships with major retailers, distributors, private-label buyers, and other strategic customers.

  • Build and maintain a robust sales pipeline from initial prospecting through contract award and commercialization.

  • Develop and present compelling proposals, product concepts, pricing, and commercialization strategies to prospective customers.

  • Negotiate commercial terms, pricing, contracts, and customer agreements in partnership with company leadership and cross-functional teams.

  • Establish and maintain long-term strategic customer relationships that drive recurring revenue and account growth.

Customer & Account Development

  • Cultivate relationships with national and regional retailers, distributors, and private-label organizations.

  • Develop strategic relationships with key customers and prospects, including organizations such as Home Depot, Lowe's, AutoZone, O'Reilly Auto Parts, NAPA, Ace Hardware, and Harbor Freight, as appropriate.

  • Identify opportunities to expand existing customer relationships through new products, categories, formulations, and packaging formats.

  • Serve as a senior-level point of contact for key accounts and strategic prospects.

  • Monitor customer needs, competitive activity, market trends, and emerging opportunities within the aerosol and private-label marketplace.

Sales Leadership & Strategy

  • Establish sales objectives, priorities, and growth targets for the private-label aerosol business.

  • Develop market segmentation and account prioritization strategies.

  • Maintain accurate sales forecasts, pipeline reporting, and revenue projections.

  • Track key sales metrics and communicate business development progress, opportunities, risks, and results to executive leadership.

  • Help shape the company's overall private-label aerosol growth strategy and market positioning.

  • Represent the company at customer meetings, industry events, and other relevant business development opportunities.

Qualifications

  • 10+ years of progressive sales and business development experience, preferably within aerosol manufacturing, contract manufacturing, private label, consumer products, or related industries.

  • Proven track record of selling private-label aerosol products.

  • Demonstrated success developing new business and growing revenue with major retailers, distributors, or private-label customers.

  • Strong understanding of aerosol manufacturing, packaging, formulation, and commercialization.

  • Established relationships with national distributors, retailers, private-label buyers, or other relevant industry decision-makers strongly preferred.

  • Experience selling into industrial, household, and automotive product categories preferred.

  • Strong commercial, financial, negotiation, and contract management skills.

  • Excellent executive-level communication, presentation, and relationship-building abilities.

  • Demonstrated ability to manage complex sales cycles involving multiple stakeholders and cross-functional teams.

  • Entrepreneurial, results-oriented mindset with the ability to independently identify and pursue new business opportunities.

Ideal Background

Candidates with experience at leading aerosol, contract manufacturing, packaging, or private-label organizations are particularly encouraged to apply. Experience with major retail and distribution customers such as Home Depot, Lowe's, AutoZone, O'Reilly Auto Parts, NAPA, Ace Hardware, and Harbor Freight is highly desirable.
