We're seeking innovative thinkers who love doing meaningful work. If you're looking to bring your skills and expertise to a connected network of growing technology companies, it's time for you to join us!
To ensure we can provide the best in healthcare tech, we focus on building the best team. Through holding true to our core values — clarity, empathy, collaboration, integrity, a sense of community, and a pioneering approach — we are creating a vibrant culture where ideas can blossom, people can thrive, and success can flourish.
NantIQ is hiring a skilled sales professional to drive sales growth for our NaviNet product line. The Director of Payer Sales will drive growth of NaviNet across large health plans and payer-adjacent organizations by prospecting, developing, and expanding relationships with key decision-makers. This commercially focused leader will leverage deep healthcare payer expertise to identify and cultivate new opportunities, lead consultative sales engagements, and advance complex opportunities from prospecting through close.
This role may be right for you if you possess a strong understanding of payer and provider operations, including eligibility and benefits, claims workflows, prior authorization, document exchange, provider engagement, administrative efficiency, and cost reduction. You're skilled at uncovering operational challenges, building trusted relationships with payer stakeholders, and effectively communicating the business value of NaviNet’s solutions. You operate most successfully as a self-directed, results-oriented sales professional and you have a demonstrated history of achieving results and possess the ability to independently manage a sales territory and advance opportunities with limited day-to-day supervision. You're confident being the voice of the customer, bringing market and customer insights to inform sales strategy, product positioning, and innovation while helping advance NantIQ’s mission to improve healthcare connectivity, efficiency, and outcomes.
Although this is a remote role, up to 35% travel is anticipated for client engagement, conferences and events as necessary. Travel expectation may vary throughout the course of the year as business needs necessitate.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Develop and execute a strategic, proactive sales strategy to expand NaviNet within new and existing payer relationships and identify, develop, and close new business opportunities across national and regional health plans, managed care organizations, and payer services organizations.

- Leverage a consultative sales approach to uncover customer needs, operational challenges, and strategic priorities, and effectively position NaviNet’s payer-provider collaboration and administrative workflow solutions to address those needs.
- Lead complex sales engagements from prospecting and discovery through solution development, presentation, negotiation, contracting, and close, maintaining ownership and momentum throughout the sales cycle.
- Develop and communicate compelling business cases, account strategies, proposals, and pursuit plans that clearly demonstrate the operational, financial, and strategic value of NaviNet.
- Negotiate and close complex enterprise agreements, leveraging a proven track record of success selling into large payer organizations and consistently delivering against sales objectives.
- Establish credibility with senior and C-suite executives by demonstrating a deep understanding of payer operations, provider needs, administrative workflows, healthcare technology, and evolving market dynamics.
- Partner effectively with Sales, Product, Marketing, Client Success, Implementation, and executive leadership teams to develop customer-specific strategies, coordinate subject matter expertise, and support proposals, contracting, and other deal activities.
- Independently manage pipeline development, prospecting, outreach, follow-up, CRM activity, forecasting, meeting preparation, and internal coordination with limited day-to-day supervision.
- Apply strong analytical, strategic thinking, creative problem-solving, communication, and presentation skills to navigate complex customer environments and develop solutions that align payer priorities with NaviNet’s capabilities.
- Adapt quickly to changing customer needs, market conditions, organizational priorities, and technology environments while effectively managing multiple opportunities and maintaining consistent sales momentum.
- Maintain current knowledge of healthcare payer and provider operations, interoperability, administrative workflows, digital transformation, and market trends to provide valuable insights and proactive guidance to clients and internal teams.
- Serve as a strong voice of the customer by bringing market intelligence, customer feedback, and emerging payer and provider needs into NantIQ to inform sales strategy, solution positioning, product development, and innovation.
