Permanent Contract | Paris-based (Hybrid) or Remote (Europe) | Sector: TechBio | AMB-ATM22004U Company Adoc Talent Management is recruiting a Director of Scientific Partnerships on behalf of its client, a fast-growing European Tech-Bio pioneer . The company is revolutionizing drug discovery through the creation of a proprietary Virtual Tissue platform . By combining state-of-the-art Machine Learning, single-cell multi-omics, and high-throughput biological data, they build high-fidelity in silico cellular and tissue simulations that replace traditional in vitro screening. This core technology enables pharmaceutical partners to rapidly identify novel therapeutic targets and predict complex tissue-level behaviors. Beyond drug discovery, their cell and tissue engineering platform extends into high-impact applications across bioproduction and foodtech. Backed by top-tier international investors, the company already boasts a strong track record of EU-funded collaborative projects and is expanding its strategic, non-dilutive research network on a global scale. Role Overview As Director of Scientific Partnerships , you will occupy a high-visibility leadership position responsible for driving the strategy, application, and operational execution of major European and international research consortia, as well as multi-stakeholder public-private partnerships. While the primary focus remains centered around European and National Grants (Horizon Europe, EIC, IHI, Eurostars, ANR, Bpifrance, Innovation Clusters, etc.), you will also explore and unlock international collaborative funding channels to support the company’s global expansion. Reporting directly to executive leadership, your mission will be leveraging the company's Virtual Tissue technology for Drug Discovery to anchor major collaborative projects, while also exploring broader opportunities in bioproduction and foodtech. Key Responsibilities: Strategic Grants Pipeline (EU & International): Identify, assess, and prioritize high-value funding opportunities across European schemes (Horizon Europe) and national programs (Bpifrance, ANR), while actively monitoring key non-EU research programs to expand the company's non-dilutive funding roadmap. Consortium Building & Proposal Defense: Design, set up, and negotiate multi-stakeholder consortia involving academic institutions, Big Pharma, biotechs, and industrial partners. Lead the end-to-end writing, structuring, and defense of competitive grant proposals. Partnership Leadership: Oversee the operational, financial, and administrative management of funded collaborative projects, ensuring high-quality scientific deliverables, budget compliance, and seamless reporting to funding agencies. Bridge between Science & Ecosystem: Act as the strategic link between internal AI/biology teams and external collaborators, funding bodies, and project officers globally. Global Ecosystem Representation: Represent the company at international innovation hubs, matchmaking events, and scientific symposia to position its Virtual Tissue platform as a benchmark in the industry. The position is remote-friendly within Europe , with regular visits to the Paris office to maintain alignment with internal scientific leadership. Ideal Profile We are looking for a strategic, highly connected professional who combines a solid scientific grounding in life sciences with proven expertise in securing and leading major research grants. Education: PhD or Master’s degree in Biological Sciences, Computational Biology, Biotechnology, or a related DeepTech discipline. Proven Track Record: 4+ years of experience successfully securing, leading, and managing complex European Grants (Horizon Europe, EIC Pathfinder/Transition, IHI, Eurostars), public-private partnerships, and alliance management. International Scope (Highly Valued Asset): Prior experience or exposure to major non-European biomedical grants will be a strong advantage. This includes North America (US NIH grants like R01/U01/SBIR, DARPA, ARPA-H, CIHR in Canada) and Asia (AMED/JST in Japan, NSFC/MOST in China, or KHIDI in South Korea). Core Expertise: Deep understanding of Drug Discovery, AI for Health, or Omics technologies , with an ability to grasp and promote the value of in silico Virtual Tissue and cellular modeling. Experience or interest in bioproduction and foodtech is a plus. Leadership & Influence: Excellent negotiation and communication skills, with a demonstrated ability to bring together diverse stakeholders (academic, industrial, C-level) around a shared scientific vision, supported by strong experience in corporate representation at major international events. Languages: Fluency in English is mandatory (spoken and written). Working knowledge of French is an asset. Why Join? This is a unique opportunity to shape the non-dilutive funding strategy of a Tech-Bio leader. You will work alongside world-class AI researchers and biologists, positioning a game-changing Virtual Tissue technology at the heart of the world’s most ambitious scientific consortia. If you are passionate about building high-impact scientific partnerships at the cutting edge of AI and Biology, please send your CV, salary expectation and cover letter to Adoc Talent Management.
