The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership, influence, and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to navigate organizational complexity, competing priorities, and highly regulated manufacturing environments. This individual will work closely with plant leadership, engineering, operations, quality, and corporate teams to deliver strategic initiatives that drive operational excellence and business performance.
Key Responsibilities:
Project & Program Leadership
- Lead high-visibility, complex, cross-functional projects from initiation through successful completion.
- Build alignment and consensus among diverse stakeholders, often without direct authority over project team members.
- Develop and maintain project plans, schedules, budgets, resource requirements, and risk mitigation strategies.
- Communicate project status, risks, trade-offs, and recommendations to senior leadership and executive stakeholders.
- Anticipate and proactively manage organizational challenges, competing priorities, and stakeholder concerns.
- Ensure projects comply with applicable regulatory, quality, and operational requirements.
Enterprise 80/20 Strategy Leadership
- Own and drive the deployment of the 80/20 (Pareto) enterprise approach across the IEI platform.
- Develop implementation strategies, execution plans, and resource requirements to ensure successful adoption.
- Partner with business leaders to identify and prioritize initiatives that deliver the greatest operational and financial impact.
- Monitor progress, track results, and drive accountability across the organization.
Manufacturing Capacity Optimization
- Oversee enterprise-wide manufacturing capacity utilization planning and visibility.
- Develop tools, processes, and reporting mechanisms to assess current and future manufacturing capacity.
- Identify capability redundancies and opportunities for optimization across facilities.
- Partner with operations leadership to improve resource allocation, facility utilization, and long-term capacity planning.
Leadership & Organizational Development
- Mentor and develop team members across multiple functions to strengthen project management capabilities throughout the organization.
- Promote a culture of collaboration, accountability, continuous improvement, and execution excellence.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Business, Operations Management, or a related field.
- Proven experience leading large-scale, high-visibility projects within a manufacturing environment.
- Demonstrated success managing complex initiatives involving multiple stakeholders and competing priorities.
- Strong ability to influence and lead across functional organizations without direct authority.
- Excellent communication, presentation, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
- Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities with the capacity to manage multiple concurrent initiatives.
- Experience operating within highly regulated manufacturing environments.
- Ability to travel as needed to support business objectives.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Advanced degree (MBA or related discipline).
- Managerial leadership experience within a manufacturing environment.
- Production planning, operations management, or capacity planning experience.
- Working knowledge of Pareto (80/20) principles and experience implementing enterprise prioritization frameworks.
- Project Management Professional (PMP) certification.
- Lean Manufacturing and/or Six Sigma certification and experience.
- Experience driving enterprise transformation, continuous improvement, or strategic operational initiatives.
What Success Looks Like:
- Successful execution of high-priority strategic projects on schedule and within budget.
- Effective deployment and adoption of the IEI 80/20 strategy across the organization.
- Improved visibility and optimization of manufacturing capacity across the enterprise.
- Strong cross-functional alignment and stakeholder engagement.
- Enhanced project management capabilities across the organization.
- Measurable improvements in operational efficiency, resource utilization, and business performance.
This is an outstanding opportunity for a strategic leader who excels in driving organizational change, leading complex initiatives, and partnering across functions to deliver impactful business results.
