Job Description Summary

As Director of Strategy and Operations, you will play a pivotal role in shaping and executing government relations strategies across key global growth markets. Working closely with the Vice President of International Government Relations and cross-functional stakeholders, you will develop cross-business market-specific strategies that align global corporate priorities with local business needs.

In addition to driving strategic initiatives, you will play an instrumental role in supporting the operational excellence of the International Government Relations team. This role can be based in Belgium, Germany, Italy, or another European time zone location with a GE Aerospace site.

Job Description

What you will do

In this role, you will:

  • Partner with the VP of International Government Relations and senior leadership to design comprehensive cross-business government relations strategies tailored to key global growth markets
  • Conduct rigorous analysis of political, regulatory, and competitive landscapes in target markets
  • Synthesize complex information from diverse sources into clear, executive-ready insights that inform strategic decision-making
  • Work closely with the International Government Relations team to identify emerging geopolitical opportunities and risks in target markets and translate those insights into actionable strategic initiatives
  • Support the VP of International Government Relations in the FLIGHT DECK transformation of the International Government Relations team

What you will bring

To succeed in this role, you will bring:

  • Significant in-house experience in a U.S. corporate environment, with demonstrated expertise in government relations, public policy, or related strategic functions
  • The ability to deliver high-quality strategic recommendations and presentations under tight deadlines and in high-pressure situations
  • Strong ability to quickly assimilate new information about unfamiliar markets, regulatory systems, and political dynamics
  • A proven track record of developing and executing successful strategies in complex international environments
  • The ability to manage multiple strategic initiatives simultaneously while maintaining exceptional attention to detail and quality
  • Deep understanding of global regulatory landscapes and experience navigating diverse political systems
  • Demonstrated success working effectively in highly matrixed organizations and building influence without direct authority
  • Strong experience working in multicultural environments
  • A Master’s degree
  • Fluency in one or more languages in addition to English

This role can be based in Belgium, Germany, Italy, or another European time zone location with a GE Aerospace site.
