Role Description The Director of Training (Volunteer) will lead the design, implementation, and continuous improvement of training programs for educators, school administrators, and corporate clients. In this hybrid role based in Awka, with some work-from-home flexibility, the Director will oversee curriculum development for digital skills and educational technology, coordinate training schedules, and ensure high-quality delivery across in-person and virtual formats. Key day-to-day responsibilities include assessing training needs, creating training materials and resources, mentoring trainers and facilitators, and monitoring the effectiveness of training through feedback and performance metrics. The Director will collaborate with leadership and project teams to align training initiatives with organizational goals and client requirements, support grant or project proposals with training plans, and contribute to strategic decisions on educational technology adoption and capacity building.
Qualifications

• Demonstrated expertise in Curriculum Development and Training & Development, with the ability to design structured learning pathways and educational technology programs.
• Experience in delivering Training and Employee Training, including facilitating workshops, coaching participants, and adapting to diverse learner needs.
• Ability to manage Budgeting for training initiatives, including planning resource use and optimizing training costs.
• Strong instructional design, presentation, and facilitation skills, particularly in technology-enhanced learning environments.
• Background in education, instructional design, human resources development, or related field; advanced training or certifications in learning and development are an advantage.
• Proven leadership and people management skills, with experience coordinating trainers and cross-functional teams.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, and comfort working in both in-person and remote collaboration settings.
• Familiarity with e-learning platforms, learning management systems, and digital tools used in schools and training organizations; experience in the Nigerian education context is a plus.
