Our mission to transform lives is made possible by talented people who bring diverse industry experience, backgrounds and skills to the university. And today, we're ready to expand our reach. All we need is you.

This position will be partially based in the following office location:

The opportunity

In this role, you are responsible for planning, coordinating, and executing high-quality virtual events for university internal and external audiences. You will oversee the development of innovative online programming, managing technical platforms, and collaborating with key partners in the Office of External Affairs and Communications as well as ITS. You will report to the Assistant Vice President, Ceremonies and Protocol Officer.

What you'll do:

  • Develop and implement strategies for university-wide virtual events, including leadership meetings, conferences, summits and ceremonies.
  • Manage the end-to-end virtual event logistics, including planning, scheduling and execution.
  • Oversee the use of virtual event platforms and technologies to ensure seamless user experiences.
  • Coordinate with appropriate stakeholders to facilitate content development and attendee engagement strategies.
  • Monitor and evaluate event performance, collecting feedback to improve future virtual programming.
  • Stay current with emerging virtual event trends, tools, and best practices, continuously enhancing the university's virtual engagement strategies.
  • Ensure all virtual events comply with accessibility standards, privacy policies, and branding guidelines.

What we're looking for:

  • HSD/GED and 5+ years of experience supporting and leading virtual and/or hybrid events using platforms such as Microsoft Teams, Zoom, or comparable virtual event technologies.
  • Demonstrated project management, organizational, and leadership experience, including the ability to manage multiple events, priorities, timelines, and stakeholders.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with demonstrated experience collaborating with diverse internal and external stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated ability to independently manage virtual and hybrid event execution, troubleshoot technical or platform-related issues, and adjust quickly to changing priorities or unexpected event needs.

We believe real innovation comes from inclusion - where different experiences, perspectives and talents are celebrated. So if you're wondering whether SNHU is right for you, take the leap and apply. You might be just the person we're looking for.
