Position Summary
Regalo Health is seeking a Director, Patient Support & HUB Program Services to lead the launch and ongoing operation of a comprehensive patient support program for a new high-value oncology therapy.
This highly visible, hands-on leadership role owns the end-to-end patient access journey, including benefits investigation, reimbursement support, prior authorization and appeals, patient assistance and copay programs, prescription triage, specialty pharmacy coordination, and free-goods dispensing.
We are looking for a leader who can operate strategically while also rolling up their sleeves to solve problems, remove barriers, and get things done. Success requires strong collaboration across patient advocates, pharmacy operations, reimbursement, technology, Quality & Compliance, specialty pharmacies, external partners, and the pharmaceutical client.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead program implementation, launch readiness, and ongoing operational performance.
- Serve as the primary operational partner to the pharmaceutical client and translate priorities into actionable plans.
- Oversee the patient journey from enrollment and benefits investigation through treatment access and prescription fulfillment.
- Lead reimbursement support, prior authorization, appeals, patient assistance, copay support, and complex access escalations.
- Coordinate prescription routing and handoffs among HUB operations, specialty pharmacies, and the in-house non-commercial pharmacy.
- Partner closely with Patient Advocates, Pharmacy, Technology, Quality & Compliance, reimbursement teams, vendors, and client stakeholders.
- Identify barriers and bottlenecks and take a hands-on approach to resolving issues quickly.
- Establish and monitor performance metrics for access, turnaround time, quality, patient experience, and operational results.
- Use data to improve workflows, strengthen accountability, and drive continuous improvement.
- Ensure compliance with applicable privacy, quality, contractual, and regulatory requirements.
- Lead and develop the program team while creating a culture of ownership, urgency, collaboration, and patient focus.
- Support staffing, capacity planning, budgeting, forecasting, and resource management as the program grows.
What Success Looks Like
Success means launching and operating a reliable, responsive, compliant patient support program focused on getting patients access to therapy as efficiently as possible. This leader will build strong relationships, identify issues before they become barriers, and own solutions from start to finish. This is a remote leadership role that requires active, hands-on engagement with the team and regular visits to the office, pharmacy, client sites, or partner locations as business needs require. We are looking for someone who can think strategically, lead confidently, and work alongside the team when needed.
Compensation
Regalo Health offers a competitive compensation package. Actual compensation will be based on relevant experience, qualifications, location, and demonstrated expertise.
- PharmD required.
- Strong understanding of clinical considerations related to reimbursement, prior authorization, and appeals.
- Significant experience in pharmaceutical patient services, HUB operations, specialty pharmacy, reimbursement, or patient access.
- Experience leading complex access programs involving benefits investigations, prior authorizations, appeals, assistance programs, and specialty pharmacy coordination.
- Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage pharmaceutical-client relationships.
- Strong analytical, operational, communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
- Working knowledge of patient privacy, pharmacy, and patient support program compliance requirements.
- Comfort working in a fast-moving environment where leaders are expected to be hands-on and step in wherever needed.
