Director, Portfolio Management Office (PMO) Portfolio Governance | Strategic Program Delivery | Enterprise Project Management | Resource & Capacity Planning Position Overview We are seeking a strategic and results-driven Director, Portfolio Management Office (PMO) to lead the planning, and execution of the organization’s project, program, and portfolio management functions. This role is responsible for leading projects on the Implementation side ensuring the successful delivery by aligning resources, priorities, budgets, and investments with business objectives. The ideal candidate is an experienced leader who can establish and follow best-in-class PMO practices, and partner effectively with executive stakeholders to deliver measurable business value while fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement. Responsibilities Lead and provide direction to project managers, program managers, and cross-functional teams responsible for the successful delivery of large, complex enterprise programs, projects, and portfolios. Establish and govern portfolio management processes, including resource allocation, capacity planning, budgeting, forecasting, and performance reporting. Partner with leadership and business stakeholders to define priorities, align investments, and ensure successful delivery of strategic initiatives. Analyze organizational capacity, resource utilization, and project health to proactively identify risks, constraints, and opportunities for improvement. Develop and manage detailed project plans and work with the stakeholders tracking activities to closure. Develop and implement project management standards, methodologies, governance frameworks, policies, and best practices to improve execution consistency and delivery performance. Resolve business and operational issues that span multiple functions, departments, and stakeholder groups. Provide leadership level stakeholder communications, governance reviews, status reporting, and strategic decision-making discussions. Analyzes capacity and resource allocation to ensure effective and efficient delivery of services and establish policies, procedures, standards, methodologies and guidelines for information technology projects and services. Establish and maintain performance metrics, dashboards, and reporting mechanisms to measure portfolio health, delivery success, and business value realization. Foster a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, collaboration, and results-oriented execution across project and program teams. Requirements Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Information Technology, Project Management, Engineering, or a related field. Master's degree preferred. 15+ years of progressive experience in project, program, or portfolio management, including leadership of large-scale enterprise initiatives. 8+ years of leadership experience managing project managers, program managers, and cross-functional delivery organizations. Demonstrated experience leading complex projects, or business process improvement initiatives. Strong expertise in project management, strategic planning, budgeting, forecasting, resource management, and organizational governance. Proven ability to influence and collaborate with executive leadership, business stakeholders, and cross-functional teams. Experience establishing project management methodologies, governance frameworks, performance metrics, and reporting processes. Flexible Working At Conduent, we want you to be yourself. For this position, actual salaries will vary and may be above or below the range based on various factors including but not limited to location, experience, and performance. In addition to base pay, this position, based on business need, may be eligible for a bonus or incentive. The estimated salary range for this role is $123,750-$165,000.
