Director, Pricing & Payer Strategy

Position Title: Director, Pricing & Payer Strategy This role serves as a critical partner to the Executive Director, Contracting and Pricing, with end-to-end accountability for the strategy, execution, compliance, and analytics underpinning the company's government and commercial contracting portfolio. Preferred Location: Remote – US Essential Duties and Responsibilities* Provide support to the ED, Contracting and Pricing in all related matters and successfully and timely complete all tasks and responsibilities. Responsible for data preparation, validation, calculation, and analytics related to the administration of government and commercial contracts. Responsible for analyzing, documenting, reviewing, and the submission of all mandated product and pricing obligations for all federal and state government programs, including, but not limited to, Medicaid (AMP, BP, USA, state reporting), Office of Pharmacy Affairs (PHS), Veteran Affairs (NFAMP, FCP, FSS, IFF, TRICARE) within the mandated timelines. Work collaboratively with 3rd party partners responsible for state price transparency reporting, government pricing, etc. Lead development of product launch pricing and contracting strategies Engage with all key stakeholders to effectively monitor current contract performance and inform on current/future state of business and competitive actions/offers impacted by competition and market trends Closely partner with all relevant stakeholders for tactical execution of contract strategy Assist Account Directors with contract negotiations, either indirectly or directly with customers. Develop relationships with key customer decision makers in customer meetings and industry meetings Facilitate and coordinate external and internal insight generation based on engagement with internal and external partners regarding industry trends and competitive dynamics within the marketplace Lead innovative contracting initiatives and define their implications on contract strategies for key customers Maintain government pricing methodologies, standard operating procedures and reasonable assumptions as they pertain to government programs and pricing to reflect current federal statutes and regulations Perform trend analytics and comparisons to benchmarks to support calculations SME for all IRA related responsibilities Perform other miscellaneous duties and job responsibilities to support Market Access activities *additional duties and responsibilities as assigned Qualifications (Education & Experience) Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics or other degrees appropriate to this area of responsibility with 10 years of relevant experience required; or equivalent experience and education. Must have experience with government price calculation and reporting for state and federal programs (Medicaid, PHS, FSS, state price transparency, etc.). Accounting systems processes and controls – is knowledgeable of general accounting processes and associated controls Quality Management – looks for ways to improve and promote quality and demonstrates accuracy and thoroughness Software – Facility with Microsoft applications including Excel and comfortable learning and working within enterprise-wide accounting systems Ability to work well under pressure and to work within short deadlines Excellent organizational and multitasking skills, strong work ethic, and emphasis on attention to details Work independently while effectively communicating and coordinating work efforts with others
