Director of Procurement & Logistics
Parry Sound (Remote Hybrid) | Food Manufacturing
Our client, an established and growing Canadian food manufacturer, is seeking an experienced Director of Procurement & Logistics to lead procurement, sourcing, logistics, warehousing and distribution across the organization.
This is a senior supply chain leadership opportunity for someone who combines strong commercial procurement capabilities with hands-on logistics expertise. Reporting to the VP of Operations, you will lead the teams responsible for ensuring ingredients, packaging and materials are sourced effectively while finished products move efficiently through the company's Canadian and international distribution network.
Working closely with Production, Quality, R&D, Finance and Sales, you will play a key role in controlling costs, strengthening supplier partnerships, optimizing inventory and ensuring continuity of supply within a growing food manufacturing business.
What You'll Do
You are a practical, commercially minded supply chain leader who is equally comfortable negotiating a major supplier agreement, reviewing inventory positions, challenging transportation costs or working with operations to resolve an immediate supply issue.
You bring structure and data to decision-making without becoming overly bureaucratic. You build strong relationships with suppliers and internal stakeholders, hold partners accountable and remain calm when supply-chain challenges arise.
Most importantly, you enjoy working in an entrepreneurial manufacturing environment where you can see the impact of your decisions and directly influence how the business operates and grows.
Location: Remote with on site visits to Parry Sound, Ontario
