At Curriculum Associates, we believe in the potential of every child and are changing the face of education technology with award-winning learning programs like i-Ready that serve a third of the nation’s K–8 students. For more than 50 years, our commitment to making classrooms better places, serving educators, and supporting accessible learning experiences for all students has driven the continuous improvement of our innovative programs. Our team of more than 2,500 employees is composed of lifelong learners who stand behind this mission, working tirelessly to serve the educational community with world-class programs and support every day.

The Director of Product Marketing will lead the strategy and execution of marketing initiatives that drive sales, adoption and growth of i-Ready’s digital instruction and professional learning. This role is critical in shaping how our digital instruction and professional learning offerings are positioned in the K–12 market and ensuring educators and administrators understand the value of our offerings. You will serve as the hub, connecting Product Management, Sales, Service and other Marketing teams to deliver compelling propositions, strategies messaging and go-to-market strategies that support our mission to improve student outcomes.

This role will define positioning and messaging, lead high-impact product launches, collaborate to create demand generation and renewal campaigns, and ensure sales and service teams are equipped with compelling, differentiated stories and assets that drive sales, successful adoption and renewal.

This is a highly cross-functional leadership role that partners closely with Product, Research, Sales, Growth Marketing, Partner Success, and Revenue Operations to bring digital instruction and professional learning solutions to market with clarity, consistency, and measurable results.

The ideal candidate brings proven experience launching new products, crafting compelling value propositions, bringing creative campaigns to life and driving high-impact GTM strategies.

The impact you’ll have:

  • Develop and Own Product Positioning & Messaging: Craft clear, differentiated positioning and messaging for i-Ready’s instructional and professional learning solutions that resonate with educators, administrators, and district leaders.
  • Lead Go-to-Market Strategy: Drive launch plans for new products and features, ensuring cross-functional alignment and successful execution.
  • Market & Competitive Analysis: Conduct research on EdTech trends, K–12 customer needs, and competitive landscape; translate insights into actionable strategies.
  • Sales Enablement: Build tools, training, and content that empower Sales teams to effectively communicate product value and close deals.
  • Content Strategy: Oversee creation of product-related content (web, collateral, presentations, case studies) to support demand generation and thought leadership.
  • Customer Advocacy: Closely partner with Customer Marketing to identify and showcase educator and district success stories that demonstrate product impact and demonstrate how products can be used to solve critical educator challenges.
  • Performance Measurement: Define KPIs for product marketing initiatives and report on effectiveness to senior leadership.
  • Leadership & Team Development:
  • Manage and mentor a team of product marketers, fostering growth and professional development.
  • Drive cross-functional collaboration and influence stakeholders at all levels to ensure alignment on product strategy and messaging.
  • Champion a culture of innovation, accountability, and continuous improvement within the marketing organization.

What we're looking for:

  • Experience: 8+ years in product marketing or related roles, with at least 3 years in a leadership position.
  • Required: Proven experience in the EdTech sector, with a strong understanding of K–12 education markets, buyer personas, and procurement cycles.
  • Preferred: Experience in the K–12 digital instruction market, with a strong understanding of buyer personas, procurement cycles and offerings.
  • Skills: Strategic thinking, storytelling, and analytical skills; ability to influence cross-functional teams and lead high-performing teams.
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, or related field; MBA a plus.
  • Extensive experience in product marketing, portfolio marketing, or go-to-market leadership
  • Strong ability to translate research, data, and market insights into clear, compelling narratives
  • Proven success leading complex, cross-functional initiatives in matrixed organizations
  • Experience owning product launches and sales enablement for sophisticated or research-backed products
  • Analytical mindset with experience defining KPIs and using performance data to guide decisions
  • People leadership experience, with a focus on coaching, strategic growth, and high standards
  • Experience in education, edtech, or research-driven environments strongly preferred
