Director - Project Management

Job Purpose
We are looking for a highly results-oriented and process-driven Director – Project Management. This role will function as the strategic engine driving project execution for our India organization. Not just managing the timelines, this leader will be responsible for maturing our delivery ecosystem, bridging the gap between high-level product vision and technical execution. This role requires a blend of deep technical expertise in software products, strong leadership skills, and a strategic, customer-focused mindset. The mission is to instill a culture of predictability, high quality, and continuous evolution, ensuring that our product delivery roadmap translates into flawless releases every month across project streams/teams. Success in this role means “Surprise” is no longer a word used in our release meetings.

Responsibilities

• Act as the primary liaison between executive leadership, Engineering, and Product Owners to align delivery cycles with business goals.
• Standardize estimation frameworks to ensure realistic commitments and optimized resource allocation across teams.
• Own the master release calendar, identifying risks early and implementing mitigation strategies to ensure zero-delay releases.
• Partner with Dev and QA teams across projects to drive a Zero-Defects mentality, implementing root cause analysis (RCA) for any post-production issues.
• Sprint Governance: Define, audit, and evolve Scrum/Agile ceremonies (Daily Stand-ups, Sprint Planning, Reviews, and Retrospectives) to ensure they remain high-value and low- friction.
• Identify bottlenecks in the SDLC and implement Lean/Agile process improvements to increase velocity without sacrificing quality.
• Define and report on metrics, including Dev estimation gaps, efforts vs actuals, slippage deviations, escaped defect rate, etc.
• Provide transparent, automated dashboards for stakeholders to track health, risks, and ROI of various project streams.
• Work together with Product Owners to refine backlogs, ensuring user stories are “Ready” for development and meet the Definition of Done (DoD).

Required Skills & Experience

• 15+ years of progressive experience in Project/Program Management, with at least 4 years in a leadership role within a Product-centric organization.
• Deep expertise in Agile, Scrum, Kanban, and Scaled Agile (SAFe).
• Mastery of Jira/Confluence or Azure DevOps (including advanced workflow automation and reporting).
• Strong understanding of the modern CI/CD pipeline, cloud infrastructure (Azure), and automated testing environments.
• Proven experience working in a growing IT Product company with mobile app development and test environment.
• Experience in a highly regulated industry (Healthcare) where quality standards are extremely stringent is an added advantage.

• High adaptability and ability to thrive in fast-paced, dynamic environments

• Certifications:
  Certifications such as PMP, SAFe, or a relevant project management certification are
  preferred.
