Job Description:

Job Summary

Responsible for directing enterprise-wide IT systems and operations that support revenue cycle billing, ensuring secure, efficient, and compliant financial workflows. Provides leadership in implementing strategies through the design, deployment, and governance of technologies that directly impact organizational revenue and patient financial outcomes. Establishes policies, standards, and performance metrics that ensure scalability, resiliency, and alignment with institutional priorities. Oversees multiple teams, budgets, and vendor relationships while resolving highly complex and non-recurring challenges. Collaborates with senior leadership to ensure IT-enabled billing solutions deliver measurable value and sustain long-term organizational performance.


Essential Functions

• Implements enterprise strategies by directing system development, optimization, and governance to ensure alignment with financial and operational objectives.

• Oversees the lifecycle management of revenue cycle billing platforms including design, deployment, upgrades, integrations, and retirement, ensuring scalability and compliance.

• Establishes and enforces enterprise standards, governance frameworks, and performance metrics to safeguard billing accuracy, system integrity, and regulatory compliance.

• Directs the resolution of complex, high-impact, and non-recurring billing system issues, applying advanced technical and business judgment to minimize financial and operational risk.

• Collaborates with senior leadership across IT, finance, and clinical operations to translate strategic objectives into actionable billing technology initiatives.

• Approves and manages departmental budgets, staffing plans, and vendor contracts, ensuring efficient use of resources and alignment with strategic goals.

• Monitors system performance and organizational billing outcomes, leveraging analytics to drive process automation, efficiency, and measurable improvements in revenue capture.

• Evaluates and adopts emerging billing and payment technologies to sustain innovation and operational excellence in support of enterprise financial health.

• Provides executive oversight for staff development and succession planning, ensuring capability growth and alignment of talent with organizational needs.

• Performs other duties as assigned.


Education Requirement

Bachelor’s degree


Experience Requirement

8-10 years of related/progressive experience and 2 years of related managerial experience

An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered. All experience must be paid and in the same related field. Part-time and PRN experience will be prorated based on hours worked per week. Volunteer work and internships for academic credit are not counted.
