About NexForm
NexForm, Inc. designs and manufactures automotive interior, fiber, and NVH (noise, vibration, and harshness) components from four North American plants: Battle Creek, Michigan; Celaya, Mexico; Old Fort, North Carolina; and Warrensburg, Missouri. Built on a heritage dating to Janesville Acoustics in 1874 and Motus Integrated, NexForm is backed by Crest Rock Partners and executing a growth plan to reach revenue by 2030.
Position Summary
The Sales Account Manager is the single point of commercial accountability for NexForm's Asian OEM portfolio, including Toyota, Honda, Nissan, Hyundai, Kia, Subaru, and Mazda, along with the Tier 1 integrators that supply them. The role protects current revenue, wins new programs, and builds the long-term, multi-level relationships these customers require before awarding business.
Success requires fluency in the business practices of Japanese and Korean OEMs: consensus-driven decisions, long relationship horizons, rigorous quality expectations, and annual cost-reduction commitments. This position is a primary driver of NexForm's Go-Get growth pillar.
Key Responsibilities
Account Ownership and Growth
- Own revenue, margin, and customer satisfaction for all assigned Asian OEM and Tier 1 accounts.
- Build and execute annual account plans covering current programs, upcoming sourcing events, white space, and relationship maps.
- Develop relationships across purchasing, engineering, quality, and program management at the buyer, manager, and executive levels.
- Lead customer visits, technical reviews, and executive meetings at North American technical centers and as required, at headquarters in Japan and Korea.
New Business Acquisition
- Identify and qualify new program opportunities 24–36 months ahead of sourcing.
- Secure NexForm's position on supplier panels and approved source lists.
- Lead the RFQ process end to end requirements capture, cost model coordination with Engineering and Finance, pricing strategy, submission, and negotiation.
- Convert awards into signed nominations and handoffs to Program Management and the receiving plant.
Commercial Management
- Negotiate pricing, annual price reductions, economic adjustments, raw material indices, tooling, and engineering change pricing.
- Manage customer commercial agreements, terms and conditions, and long-term agreements.
- Recover cost for customer-driven changes, volume shortfalls, and premium freight not caused by NexForm.
- Monitor receivables and resolve commercial disputes with customer purchasing.
Forecasting and Reporting
- Maintain an accurate CRM pipeline with probability-weighted bookings and sales forecasts.
- Provide monthly volume, revenue, and pricing forecasts by program to Finance and Operations.
- Track program launches, volume changes, and end-of-production dates against IHS and customer releases.
- Report account performance, risks, and opportunities to the Vice President, North America Commercial Sales.
Cross-Functional Leadership
- Serve as the voice of the customer to Engineering, Quality, Operations, and the plants.
- Coordinate launch readiness, PPAP, and customer-specific requirements with Program Management and Quality.
- Partner with plant leadership to resolve quality, delivery, and capacity issues before they affect customer scorecards.
- Support supplier quality and customer portal compliance, including Toyota, Honda, and Nissan supplier requirements.

- 7+ years of automotive sales or account management with a Tier 1 or Tier 2 supplier.
- 5+ years directly managing accounts with one or more Asian OEMs, such as Toyota, Honda, Nissan, Hyundai, or Kia.
- Demonstrated record of winning new programs through the full RFQ and sourcing cycle.
- Working knowledge of APQP, PPAP, and OEM supplier quality requirements.
- Experience building and defending piece-price, tooling, and engineering change quotes.
- Proficiency with CRM platforms and Microsoft Excel.
- Valid passport and ability to travel 40–50%, including internationally.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience selling NVH, acoustical, fiber, or interior trim components.
- Established relationships within Toyota, Honda, or Hyundai/Kia North American purchasing organizations.
- Business proficiency in Japanese or Korean.
- Experience working with Asian-headquartered Tier 1 integrators, such as Toyota Boshoku, TS Tech, or Hyundai Transys.
- MBA or advanced degree.
- Familiarity with IHS Markit (S&P Global Mobility) production forecasts.
Core Competencies
- Relationship building: earns trust over long horizons and across every level of customer organization.
- Cultural fluency: understands nemawashi, consensus-based decisions, and the expectations of Japanese and Korean business partners.
- Commercial acumen: reads a cost model, protects margin, and negotiates firmly without damaging the relationship.
- Ownership: treats the portfolio as a business to run, not a list of accounts to service.
- Cross-functional influence: drives action in Engineering, Quality, and the plants without direct authority.
- Communication: presents clearly to customer executives and NexForm leadership, in writing and in the room.
Work Environment
The role combines office, customer-site, and manufacturing-plant settings. Plant visits require compliance with safety requirements, including personal protective equipment. Travel is frequent and may include overnight and weekend travel tied to customer schedules in North America and Asia.
Equal Opportunity Employer
