Position Overview

The Director, Sales Operations – Americas is the operational backbone of Axelera AI's Americas business, owning how product reaches customers, how customers get started, how our CRM stack scales, and how we measure revenue. This leader makes sure the Americas sales team can promise what we can deliver, deliver what we promise, and forecast it accurately.

We're looking for a strategic, analytical, and execution-focused leader with deep experience in B2B hardware or semiconductor go-to-market operations. You will work hand in hand with our Global Operations and Finance teams in Europe, report to the VP of Sales, Americas, partner closely with sales and CST leaders across the Americas, and build the processes and systems that fuel predictable, sustainable growth as we scale.

This is a high-impact role for someone who thrives in fast-growing organizations, is equally comfortable in the weeds of logistics and in the architecture of a CRM, and takes pride in running the business on accurate data.

Key responsibilities:

1) Lead Americas Operations & Logistics

  • Direct product availability in the Americas local warehouse, including inventory planning, replenishment requests, and allocation against the sales pipeline.

  • Give the sales team timely, accurate visibility into product availability, lead times, and logistics options so commitments to customers are realistic.

  • Manage the logistics needed to get product to customers: shipping, customs and trade compliance coordination, and carrier and 3PL relationships.

  • Engage customers directly after sale to communicate order status and product arrival, and resolve delivery issues quickly.

  • Maintain deep alignment with the Global Operations team in Europe on supply, build schedules, and fulfilment priorities.

  • Partner with Global Finance, Legal, and Operations to set up the entities, tax registrations, and import/export arrangements needed to sell and ship into new countries across the Americas as the business expands.

2) Lead Americas Customer Onboarding

  • Develop, document, and continuously improve the Americas customer onboarding process, from closed deal through first shipment and initial use, and contribute Americas requirements to the global onboarding process as the company scales.

  • Engage directly with customers to onboard them: collect required information, set expectations, and keep them informed.

  • Partner closely with Global Finance and Global Operations on credit and payment terms, invoicing, order entry, and fulfilment handoffs.

  • Coordinate with sales, field applications engineering, and support so customers move smoothly from purchase to productive use.

3) Run the Americas Business Cadence and Revenue Reporting

  • Lead the weekly Americas Business Meeting, setting the agenda, driving accountability, and following up on actions.

  • Partner with the strategy team and across regions to build and evolve the tools, dashboards, and processes that give an accurate end-to-end view of revenue, from pipeline through order, shipment, and recognition.

  • Deliver accurate, predictable revenue forecasts and pipeline metrics that leadership uses to run the business.

  • Act as a change agent, improving cross-functional collaboration and accountability across Sales, Operations, Finance, and Marketing.

4) Influence Scalable Sales Processes

  • Influence the design of CRM and customer onboarding processes as the company scales, partnering with regional sales leaders, the strategy team, Global Finance, and Global Operations.

  • Define and enforce data standards, stage definitions, and required fields so pipeline and forecast data is trustworthy.

  • Ensure sales teams use the tools correctly through onboarding, training, ongoing coaching, and regular data-quality reviews.

  • Evaluate and provide feedback on new tools in areas such as automation, analytics, and quoting.

What Success Looks Like

  • Sales has accurate, current product availability and delivery timelines, and customers are told when product ships and arrives.

  • Every new Americas customer follows a documented onboarding process with clear handoffs to Global Finance and Operations.

  • The weekly Americas Business Meeting runs on one trusted set of revenue and pipeline metrics, and forecasts are consistently reliable.

  • CRM data is clean and consistently used, and a published roadmap guides tool and process investments, with Americas input reflected in global CRM and onboarding processes.

Qualifications:

  • 10+ years in sales operations, revenue operations, or supply chain and fulfillment operations at a B2B technology company; semiconductor or hardware experience strongly preferred.

  • Experience scaling sales operations in a growth company, ideally having seen the business grow from small to large, or having worked at both a scale-up and a large company.

  • Hands-on experience managing product logistics, including inventory, international shipping, and customs and trade compliance.

  • Proven experience with CRM stacks and administration (Salesforce preferred), including forecasting, pipeline management, and reporting. Exposure to a range of CRM platforms and integrated sales tools is a bonus.

  • Experience building and running customer onboarding or order-to-cash processes alongside finance and operations teams.

  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to turn data into clear insights and decisions for executives.

  • Excellent communication skills, comfortable engaging customers directly and collaborating across time zones with teams in Europe.

  • A builder's mindset: structured, hands-on, and able to drive change in a fast-growing, matrixed organization.

  • Bachelor's degree in business, operations, engineering, or a related field; MBA a plus.
