Job Title Director Software Engineering - DNA Platforms About your role: You will lead software engineering for DNA Platforms, guiding the development, delivery and operation of enterprise software capabilities that support Fiserv clients and business priorities. You will partner with product, architecture, operations, security and business stakeholders to deliver scalable, resilient and secure solutions. Your leadership will help improve engineering execution, platform reliability and modernization across multiple workstreams. What you'll do: Lead multiple software engineering teams delivering platform and product capabilities for DNA Platforms. Define engineering strategy aligned with business objectives, product roadmaps and enterprise architecture direction. Drive modernization, cloud adoption, automation and platform engineering initiatives across multiple portfolios. Establish engineering standards, architecture governance and development practices that improve quality, reliability and delivery predictability. Recruit, mentor and develop engineering managers and senior engineers through performance coaching, workforce planning and leadership development. Partner with architecture, security, operations and product teams to guide technical decisions for scalable, secure, resilient and compliant systems. Drive Agile, continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD), and DevSecOps adoption across teams to improve delivery execution and operational readiness. Experience you'll need to have: 12+ years of experience in software engineering delivering enterprise-scale platforms, distributed systems or cloud-based applications. 8+ years of experience managing and developing teams. 8+ years of experience leading software engineering delivery across multiple teams, portfolios or workstreams. 8+ years of experience with software architecture, cloud platforms, continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD), DevSecOps, Agile delivery and production operations. 8+ years of experience partnering with product, architecture, operations, security and business stakeholders to deliver technology outcomes. 8+ years of experience communicating engineering strategy, delivery status, risks and technical decisions to senior leaders and cross-functional stakeholders. Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science, Engineering or related field or equivalent combination of education, related experience and/or military experience. Experience that would be great to have: Experience in financial technology, payments, banking or digital platforms. Experience with platform engineering, developer experience or enterprise modernization initiatives. Experience evaluating or implementing artificial intelligence (AI)-assisted software engineering capabilities. Experience leading geographically distributed engineering teams. How you'll work: This role requires use of a computer and audio equipment. Travel: This role requires occasional travel (up to 10%). Salary Range $123,500.00 - $216,000.00 These pay ranges apply to employees in Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Nevada, Rhode Island, Vermont and Washington. Pay ranges for employees in other states may differ. For incentive eligible associates, the successful candidate is eligible for an annual incentive opportunity which may be delivered as a mix of cash bonus and equity awards in the Company’s sole discretion.
