Xactware is seeking a Director of Strategic Data Partnerships & Product Strategy to lead the development of third-party data and product partnerships across our portfolio in the United States and Canada. This leader will create and execute a cohesive strategy for external property intelligence, identifying opportunities to strengthen existing products, develop new market-informed capabilities, and create additional commercial value for Xactware and its customers. Reporting to Product leadership, this individual will own a dedicated roadmap for partner-enabled capabilities and the complete partnership lifecycle. Responsibilities will extend from ecosystem analysis, partner identification, and commercial negotiation through product integration, commercialization, adoption, performance management, renewal, expansion, or transition. This is a hands-on leadership role that combines strategic partnerships, product strategy, commercial judgment, and disciplined execution. The successful candidate will be equally comfortable developing a multi-year ecosystem strategy, meeting with customers and industry participants, negotiating with a data provider, defining product requirements, and resolving obstacles that could delay delivery. Lead Xactware's strategic data partnership portfolio Develop and maintain an enterprise-wide strategy for third-party data, intelligence, and partner-enabled product capabilities across Xactware. Build a comprehensive view of the property data ecosystem, including existing relationships, emerging providers, capability gaps, market developments, and opportunities for differentiation. Expand Xactware's partner ecosystem while strengthening the performance and strategic value of existing relationships. Build a resilient and scalable provider portfolio that gives Xactware multiple paths to support critical product and customer needs. Evaluate potential data licensing, API, product integration, technology, and co-development arrangements. Own the partner-enabled product roadmap Own a dedicated, cross-portfolio roadmap for third-party data and partner-enabled capabilities. Translate customer needs, ecosystem insights, and market developments into clear product opportunities, priorities, and investment decisions. Establish sequencing and prioritization for partner-enabled initiatives in alignment with Xactware's broader product portfolio and business strategy. Define the customer problem, value proposition, business requirements, success measures, and expected commercial outcomes for each prioritized opportunity. Ensure partner-enabled capabilities are incorporated effectively into relevant Xactware products and customer workflows. Lead partner evaluation and commercial development Identify and evaluate potential strategic partners across the property insurance, claims, repair, restoration, construction, technology, and data ecosystems. Lead business and product diligence, including assessments of data quality, geographic and category coverage, freshness, provenance, reliability, scalability, interoperability, permitted use, economics, and customer value. Serve as the business owner during commercial negotiations, working with Legal, Procurement, Privacy, Security, Finance, and Product leadership to develop durable agreements. Establish clear commercial structures, service expectations, data-use rights, governance requirements, performance measures, and escalation paths. Make clear recommendations regarding new agreements, renewals, expansions, changes in scope, and transitions. Drive execution through the full partnership lifecycle Remain accountable after an agreement is signed, leading each initiative from discovery and diligence through integration, validation, launch, adoption, and ongoing performance. Work closely with Product Management, Engineering, Data, Research, Design, Product Marketing, Sales, Customer Success, Legal, Finance, and other teams to convert partner capabilities into customer value. Identify dependencies and obstacles early, clarify ownership, and maintain momentum across complex cross-functional initiatives. Establish partner scorecards and operating reviews covering data quality, service performance, commercial results, product adoption, customer value, risk, and roadmap progress. Lead regular strategic reviews with key partners and internal stakeholders. Own commercialization and business outcomes Develop the business case and commercial strategy for new partner-enabled capabilities. Determine how capabilities should be positioned, packaged, launched, and supported in partnership with Product Marketing, Sales, Finance, and product leaders. Establish and own revenue, adoption, retention, and customer-value measures for applicable capabilities. Monitor performance after launch and make informed recommendations regarding continued investment, expansion, repositioning, or transition. Balance the value of strengthening Xactware's existing products with opportunities to create new paid capabilities and revenue streams. Represent Xactware across the property ecosystem Engage directly with carriers, adjusters, contractors, restoration firms, manufacturers, distributors, technology companies, and data providers. Conduct customer and ecosystem discovery to identify unmet needs, changing workflows, emerging data sources, and partnership opportunities. Build trusted senior-level relationships with strategic partners and industry participants. Represent Xactware at relevant customer meetings, partner discussions, conferences, and industry forums. Establish and scale the function Create a repeatable operating model for identifying, evaluating, approving, launching, and managing strategic partnerships. Define clear decision rights, governance forums, evaluation criteria, and escalation paths. Initially lead through matrixed resources across Xactware and Verisk. As the portfolio grows, define and build a multidisciplinary team spanning partnership development, partner-enabled product management, partner operations, analytics, and governance. How you will lead Accountability You take end-to-end ownership. You do not consider the work complete when a strategy is presented or an agreement is signed. You remain responsible for execution, measurable customer value, partner performance, and business outcomes. Authority You create clarity around decisions and ownership. You gather the necessary input, make strong recommendations, exercise the decision rights assigned to the role, and escalate material tradeoffs quickly. Urgency You maintain momentum across teams and organizations. You surface risks early, resolve ambiguity, and prevent valuable opportunities from becoming stalled initiatives. Customer and ecosystem focus You connect partnership decisions to specific customer problems, product experiences, and business outcomes. You understand that compelling data only becomes valuable when it improves a real workflow or decision. Strategic discipline You distinguish an interesting partnership from one that creates durable value. You balance speed, product differentiation, customer impact, economics, data rights, operational resilience, and long-term strategic flexibility. Required qualifications Eight or more years of experience in strategic partnerships, data partnerships, product strategy, product management, technology partnerships, or related leadership roles. Direct experience in property insurance, property claims, property estimating, restoration, construction, managed repair, or a closely related area. Demonstrated success developing and managing complex data, API, platform, or technology partnerships. Experience leading relationships from initial opportunity assessment and commercial negotiation through product integration, launch, adoption, and ongoing performance. Strong understanding of property claims and repair workflows, including the needs and perspectives of carriers, adjusters, contractors, restoration professionals, and policyholders. Strong data-product fluency, including experience assessing data quality, coverage, freshness, provenance, licensing, governance, service levels, APIs, and integration considerations. Experience creating product or capability roadmaps and translating market opportunities into prioritized, executable initiatives. Strong commercial judgment and experience leading business negotiations in collaboration with Legal, Procurement, Finance, Privacy, Security, and other specialists. Experience developing business cases and establishing revenue, adoption, retention, or customer-value measures. Demonstrated ability to lead complex cross-functional work without relying solely on organizational authority. Strong executive communication, relationship management, analytical, and decision-making skills. Ability to balance long-term strategy with hands-on execution. Bachelor's degree or equivalent relevant professional experience. Preferred qualifications Direct product management experience, including ownership of roadmap, launch, adoption, and business outcomes. Experience with property intelligence such as repair and restoration data, building-product information, property characteristics, imagery, weather, damage assessment, repairability, contractor data, or other market-informed data products. Experience developing commercial models for data products, embedded capabilities, premium features, or partner-enabled services. Experience working across both the United States and Canadian property insurance markets. Experience establishing a new strategic function, operating model, or multidisciplinary team. An established network across the property insurance, claims, restoration, construction technology, building-product, or data-provider ecosystem.
