Position Summary:
The Director – Supply Chain Planning’s primary responsibility is to maximize fill rate while planning and managing inventory to minimize days on hand. This position will drive and be responsible for achieving customer metrics, the master production plan, rough cut capacity plans, systematic product life cycle management, management of supply chain master data. This role will interface with Manufacturing, Distribution, Customer Service, Marketing, and Finance to develop production plans, inventory strategies and tactics, and metrics to manage raw material and finished goods supply to service customers.
Position Responsibilities:
- Leadership of the Ensuring Supply function including: Inventory and deployment planning, macro and finite production planning, capacity planning, aged and excess inventory management, and service level achievement. Manage a centralized planning department, with supply planners and purchasing analysts. Provide coaching and development to the planning team. Work with manufacturing and distribution to synchronize throughput of raw materials, work in process and finished goods items all the way to final distribution. Streamline these activities with systematized open communication, centralized planning, and coordination of activities. (~50%)
- Provide leadership to key Supply Chain continuous improvement programs and projects to drive material flow. Document Standard Operating Procedures within Supply Chain Planning. Act as a Lean/Six Sigma advocate with the purpose of driving cost out of the Supply Chain. (~15%)
- Manage supply chain master data governance, sustainability data management, and supply chain process coordination across Oatey's global operations. (~10%)
- Lead activities to level-load production and distribution facilities, optimizing resources and ensuring continuous flow of material through the Supply Chain. (~10%)
- Planning representative on Business Teams with responsibilities to plan and execute new product and optimization initiatives to deliver growth and cost objectives. (~5%)
- Help manage the corporate Product Life Cycle Management processes systematically. Supply cross functional teams with the required data to make informed decisions on products and the life cycle management process. (~5%)
- Other duties as assigned. (~5%)
Knowledge and Experience:
- 10-12 years of supply chain experience required.
- 10 years of successful managerial experience with increasing levels of responsibility within the Supply Chain required.
- Experience working in an ERP system within a multi-site environment for manufacturing and distribution preferred.
- Balanced experience in planning and operations preferred.
- Demonstrated leadership in a LEAN / 6 Sigma environment preferred.
Education and Certification:
- Undergraduate degree in Supply Chain, Business, or related program required or relevant equivalent experience in lieu of degree.
- Advanced degree preferred.
- APICS / Supply Chain certifications (CPIM, CSCP) preferred.
Physical Activities and Other Working Conditions:
- Associates working at Corporate sites are required to work in-person according to the Hybrid & Remote Workplace Policy.
- This role is primarily sedentary and involves prolonged periods of sitting and working on a computer. Regular use of hands for typing and operating office equipment is required, along with visual focus on screens and documents. Occasional standing, walking, and lifting up to 10–15 pounds may be required. Work is performed in a climate-controlled office or remote environment with moderate noise levels.
- Minimal travel is required.
Compensation Range for the Position:
$120,060.00 - $159,079.00 - $198,098.00 USDTarget Cash Profit Sharing for the Position:
18.00%Offer amount determined by experience and review of internal talent.
