Director, Total Rewards & People Analytics
Remote (U.S.) · 25% travel · GEOTEK / STRONGTEK
Build the people foundation of a new company
GEOTEK is joining forces to form STRONGTEK, and we need the leader who will design how it pays, rewards, measures and supports its people. This isn't a role where you inherit a finished playbook and maintain it. You'll write the playbook, with a seat at the table for one of the most important things our company will ever do.
If you've wanted to build a total rewards and people analytics function from the ground up, with the support of a leadership team that values data and well-being, keep reading.
What you'll accomplish in your first year
•Launch one rewards framework for STRONGTEK. Bring team members from our legacy companies together under a single compensation philosophy, pay structure, incentive plan and benefits strategy. Do it fairly, in compliance, and in a way that keeps our best people.
•Create one trusted source of people data. Within your first 9 months, stand up our People Analytics function. That means unifying headcount, turnover, compensation and hiring data across the combined company, and delivering a monthly executive dashboard that leaders actually use to make decisions.
•Build a fair, market-based job architecture. Map every role to a job family, level and market-benchmarked pay band, then lead a pay equity review and a remediation plan.
How you'll get there
•First 60 days: assess compensation, benefits, policies, systems and data quality across the legacy companies, and deliver a prioritized HR integration roadmap.
•By month 4: publish people-data governance standards with common definitions, clear ownership and regular audits.
•By month 6: working with Granite Partners, our private equity partner, have HR ready for our upcoming SuitePeople implementation, our selected HRIS and payroll platform. That means:
–cleaning and mapping data from the legacy systems
–defining HR requirements and workflows
–building a phased rollout plan for the 12–18 month implementation
•By our first combined open enrollment: design and roll out one benefits and leave program, supported by clear, early communication.
Along the way, you'll lead the HR Operations team that owns our system SOPs and data integrity. You'll also partner closely with Finance, IT, Legal, our HR Business Partners, our Employee Experience team and Granite Partners.
You'll thrive here if you…
•Have built it before: a total rewards program, an analytics function or an HR integration, ideally during a merger or acquisition.
•Tell stories with data: you turn complex analysis into a clear recommendation executives act on, using tools like DOMO, Tableau or advanced Excel.
•Know rewards deeply: salary structures, incentive design, benefits strategy and compliance (ERISA, ACA, FMLA, FLSA).
•Make technology work for people: you've helped implement an HRIS or payroll system, and you know that clean data and clear processes decide whether it succeeds. NetSuite or SuitePeople experience is a plus.
•Lead through collaboration: you're comfortable in a private equity–backed environment, where key decisions are made together with an ownership partner and influence matters as much as authority.
•Lead change with empathy: you handle sensitive pay and benefits changes with transparency.
•Move fast without cutting corners: you meet integration deadlines and keep payroll and compliance accurate.
Most successful candidates bring 8+ years of progressive HR experience, including 3–5 years leading total rewards, people analytics, HR systems or HR operations. SHRM-SCP, SPHR or CCP certification is a plus, and so is a background in analytics or I/O psychology.
Why this role is different
•Build a company: you shape the rewards, data and HR processes of STRONGTEK from day one.
•Real breadth: total rewards, analytics, a major HRIS implementation, compliance and M&A in one role. It's a strong path to VP-level leadership.
•Private equity experience: you'll work alongside Granite Partners, which brings valuable exposure to how high-growth, investor-backed companies operate.
•Repeatable M&A experience: our vision is to keep developing and acquiring respected composite brands, so the integration playbook you build will be used again.
•Meaningful work: we're the global leader in fiberglass composite solutions, and we're committed to strengthening the world's infrastructure.
How you'll work
This is a remote position with about 25% travel. Plan to spend up to one week per month at one of our manufacturing locations in Minnesota, Georgia, Virginia, Utah or Pennsylvania. That time on the floor and with your HR colleagues keeps you close to the business, our culture and the people your work supports.
Our TRUE Values
Team (we before me) · Reliable (every day in every way) · Urgent (the drive to do) · Enterprising (be curious)
Pay and benefits
The salary range for this role is $164,000 – $186,000, plus stock ownership and a 15% annual bonus opportunity. Benefits include medical, dental, vision, 401(k) with match, paid time off, etc.
